I had this in a 225 SF bedroom, it is rated for 250 SF. It was 85 degrees out so not too bad, this unit couldn't get the room below 70. Went out and got a mobile AC unit that did the job with ease.I took it to a UPS store to send it back, and they charged me $36 for boxes even though Amazon said "no packing materials required" in the return instructions. It was so big the UPS store was trying to discourage me from returning it at all. I guess I shouldn't have thrown out the packing materials but I had faith it would work and more faith that I could return this item just as easily as any other things from Amazon

Didn’t fit windows. There was a huge gap between the windows so wide it was impossible to balance

Honestly I keep the room at 62 degrees I like it cold when I sleep and I'm happy this ac actually works. The only problem I've had with it is when it came it had a few small dents in it but still performes really good not only that it can be a heater for winter to. It's easy to use and it's not very loud. The remote control need to be connected to your Wi-Fi tho and the AC but I don't really use that I use the buttons on the actual ac. And it keeps the room extremely cold once it gets to its temperature it shuts off and if it starts to warm up it turns on to make it the temp you had it at

I bought this thinking it was going to cool my room. Nope! I was able to cool, and fill my drink with delicious ice. I could have purchased a decent countertop ice maker for $150.00, however nothing beats an ice making unit in the windows.
