Firstly, I'm sure the dimensions are accurate but I know I'm not the only one that never looks at them. These are on the smaller side, think like a fun size candy bar. I was picturing them larger. Not a big deal, but just so you know. The little accessories are nice to fine. Really nice that they included a threader, too many small kits don't. I'm hoping the thread will be a little stronger than what comes with most super duper cheapo kits, for some repairs that could use it. So far it does seem better/stronger. Nothing mind blowing, but way more suited to fixing stuff that's already shown it likes to break there.

The needle threader and needles are easy to use, and the thread unwinds easily. Once a spool is started you may want to secure the end of the thread after use to ensure you don't end up with loose thread coming off the spool.

It is smaller then what I thought, I thought it would be the size of the smaller serger thread straight cones, I don't know what they are actually called. But they are smaller then those. There is a size in between the 2 sizes in the last photo and I thought it was going to be that size. Either way, it's still thread and they will work on my sewing machine, probable not my serger because it uses a lot of thread when sergering/sewing. For the money, not a bad deal. Would I buy it again, I think I would for normal sewing, because it has more thread then a regular spool of thread. I do like buying the serger thread, because I can use it on my sewing and my serger machines.

I thought the kit was a good deal, but it would have been even better if a spool of white thread was one of the colors.

This is a nice strong thread that does sew well when hand stitching. The thread is a little linty but you don’t really notice it until you try to sew with it using a quality machine, especially at higher speeds. As you turn up the speed, the lint starts to quickly accumulate. But the annoying thing is this thread breaks so easily sewing with a machine at a decent speed. At first I thought it was an older needle, so to be fair, I put in a new needle and tried again. Still started breaking anytime I pressed more than halfway down on the foot pedal. Replace it with another needle with a wider eye. Still breaking. Adjusted tension. Breaks. I couldn’t get more than a few inches (less than 10cm) without a breakage. If I went really slow, it would still eventually break.I then tried this thread on a cheaper sewing machine. One most people will use starting out and stick with as they are functional for most projects. Success! The thread doesn’t get anywhere as linty and the thread doesn’t break nearly as often. This is an excellent thread for hand sewing and the included needles are very nice and just the right thickness with a very good large eye to thread. The included threader is sturdy and not flimsy like those old foil ones that broke within a few uses. This feels like it will last for ages.I’m giving this thread four stars as it is a nice weight and vibrant colors and does sew well by hand and most home machines. But I’m knocking off a star due to constant breakage in a better quality machine and excessive lint accumulation.
