Manual: 1, Always wear ear, eye, face protection and protective safety gloves. 2, Generally, for rough work, move the burrs across the workpiece counter-rotationally. 3, Pass the tool over the workpiece in the direction of rotation to achieve fine finishes. 4, Min Clamping depth is 2/3 of the shank, if you have to clamp less, pls low speed. 5, If rough running, strong vibrations and increased flying sparks, pls use a new one. 6, Do not apply too much pressure, Let the speed do the work. Smaller burrs require faster speeds. 7, Soft materials, such as aluminum, use a grinding oil to reduce debris clogging. Grind glass, use water as lubricant. 8, Elongate holes, grip tool firmly with two hands and use a swinging motion, which prevents chatter, result in a safer cut. 9, Avoid impact loads, otherwise parts teeth will break off, shank will bend. Do not sink the burr for more than 1/3 of its periphery. 10, Recommendation for drives: shank 1/8" (75 to 300W), shank 1/4" (from 300W), for coarse cuts, 500W+ advantageous.

I'm griding on cast iron from the 1970's and cannot believe what GREAT Burrs these are! Seriously these are so sharp it feels like I'm cutting aluminum! What took an hour to do with my old burr sets, took me 15 minutes and I had to be careful not to take off too much material! No question I'd buy these again!

I did have a crack in the inner case, but it wasn't enough as to where the bits were falling out. In most cases they are intended to be kept in the nice wooden block, so a cheap plastic case is not that big of a deal. To be honest, I don't have a high speed die grinder so I tested these on my cordless drill. They cut thru an old rifle stock like nobody's business. This stock I have been cutting on for a while with a cross cut saw, a jig saw and a hack saw, and those take forever. These bits, although not straight line cuts, dig like crazy. I think I will be using these for some handle making for sometime to come.

These are the first Carbide Burr Set I bought so I have no reference of other sets, but this one did wonderfully, it carved quickly on the mild steel I needed to carve, I used a drill press for better control because the regular drill even when it works just fine, the carving tends to go in all directions if not properly hold.

I am finding these bits to last only a few minutes on Aluminum! They work fine initially, but loose their edge very quickly and stop working within about 5 minutes.
