To open the tube you screw the cap (with sponge) all the way on. The cap punctures the tube when you do this.I held the sponge end over some cardboard and started rolling the tube from the end until the sponge started dripping. Then I blotted the sponge on the cardboard to remove excess.The primer is pretty much as runny as water and is black. I ran a coat of primer on the glass and on the vehicle flange. It dried very quickly. In fact, the main ingredient is MEK.If you don't keep the sponge saturated as you use it the sponge will stick to the surface you are coating and it will pull out. Squeeze as you go all all will be well.
