A great design. Very nice addition for your soldering needs. Sometimes you just need that extra holder. One that is small enough to slde into those awkward positions. This little magnetic wonder does all of that. The magnetic pieces hold together just fine, and are easily manipulated, but they do slide too easily along the joints. I do wish there was a way to "lock" them in place. All things considered, it is a welcome addition to my kit.

I love these for soldering wires these were the Chinesium ones ( Cheaper) I had to JB weld the alligator clips into the magnetic block to keep them aligned but it is what it is. It serves the purpose. I could have spent more $ but cheaper is good for stuff like this

The clips will fall out if held upside down. The products magnetic ability is a little poor.It still is a decent, after glueing clips

I like the fixed width and rigidity of this tool for dealing with soldering wires together. Unlike dealing with alligator clips on flexible shafts, this is much quicker to use in my opinion as there's no real adjustment necessary.Having said that, the magnet on the base is inset a bit too much causing a weak magnetic attraction. The clip arms are fine and stay put, but the base is a bit easy to move even on a solid steel platform and requires a bit of finesse to ensure you don't move things around. If you're looking for a rigid setup that's portable, this can fit the bill.

Bought to solder wires on semi trucks, the alligator clips are only held on with magnets so it will pull apart under tension. Returned for a set of soldering pliers instead.

Magnets can barely hold its own weight. Pick something different.

There isn't much not to like, except that I have lost the center magnet in two previous sets. I use them for soldering and they are a great help.
