As part of my home theater project in the basement, I spent a lot of time and money working on keeping loud noises in the basement. I have six, 6" metal ducts overhead. When you rapped on them with a metal object, they ring. This ringing transmits through the ducts to the living/dining rooms. To prevent this, I stuck these pads onto the ducts. The ringing is gone. Sound will really have to work to vibrate the metal air ducts.Note: You do NOT have to cover every square inch of the item you are trying to silence. These are made to stop sheet metal from vibrating. I only did the bottom of each duct and there is a minimum of a 1" gap between pads. Since I have an older house, my cold air return ducts are also metal. I slapped a pad on each of those as they exist in my theater area.Note2: These are only part of my noise blocking plan. I have R30 mineral wool in the ceiling joists and a layer of Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) in addition to 2x1/2" drywall. Putty pads for any electrical openings in the ceiling too. These primarily get used to silence cheap cars. That works too. Get a roller to help install these. Hard plastic or hard rubber roller about an inch wide. This seats the pads onto the surface ensuring that they stay adhered.

Was not as easy as I thought it would be to install. I have jeep TJ and lined entire floor and doors inner and outer. Has made a difference. I can actually talk on the phone now and listen to music. Good product. Probably added 50 lbs to my Jeep though.

I know there are more expensive/reputable brands out there, but wanted an affordable option for an old truck. Haven't really been able to drive around much since installing, but the panels were super sticky, easily molded to curves, and seem to at least deaden the steel 'thunk' of the floorboards. It's dense material stuck to metal, so I'm assuming it will help with nose and heat.

Can't measure the difference in effectiveness between Noico 80 mil and Dynoskin 80 mil, but Noico 80 mil is thicker, that in theory should block sound more effective.

I was getting a few rattles and less bass resonance in my car. This worked great to make it sound great again. It’s easy to cut and put in place and it sticks in place and stays in place.

Easy to work with and cut, sticks really good, and a great product for the price.
