This rain gauge was easy to install. The gauge seemed fairly accurate. The mount did not rust. Make sure to bring in the gauge for the winter. Unfortunately, I forgot my and it broke.

This item is well made in my opinion. But for one flaw, I would give it a 5. The flaw being the lack of a second ring below the top ring. There is enough play for the tube to nearly, but not quite, fall out of the holder. I attached mine to a wood post and if the tube should happen to slip through, it would break on the concrete below. So I ended up mounting it on the post, but taped it with clear packaging tape to hold it in place. The material used to manufacture this rain gauge looks top notch to me.

The rain gauge is large and easy to assemble the holder. It’s just what I expected. Great value

Easy to set up, I screwed the holder into a fence post. The numbers are perfect size so you don’t have to squint to see it.

The holder is fairly heavy gauge stainless steel, which is good. However, the holder doesn't secure the gauge very well. Wind, and birds landing on it, cause it to lay over at a slant in the holder. I don't think it can fall out, but high winds or a bird may knock it over forcefully enough to break. That's my concern anyway.I ended up mounting it into a piece of 1" schedule 120 PVC pipe. I put a screw into the pipe so that about 3" of the gauge sticks up. I used a piece of aluminum foil in the bottom to cushion the gauge from the screw. This holds it straight, and secure. They need to add an additional ring near the bottom like the one at the top, then the gauge would be held straight, and securely.
