Thought the product was a pretty good deal as a 4 pack of SFP+ 10GbE ports, however the moment I plugged one into my Ubiquiti agg switch the system spazzed out. I logged into my console and it had Rx errors even with no cable connected. I tried different ports for troubleshooting and isolated the problem to these SFP+ modules. I don't know what brands these would work with, but you clearly get what you pay for. I returned these after a pretty frustrating afternoon with them and replaced with the real deal from Ubiquiti themselves. Not all of these Chinese knockoff brands are bad, but these are pretty terrible.

I have an installation with 48 port patch panels and 48 port switches. Obviously, once the switch is full there is no way to connect to my devices on the ports. The vertical was a fiber SFP, these worked great to daisy chain the switches and access my devices with my laptop. Laptop doesn’t have optical port so these fit the bill. One note, they do stand about 1” proud from the face of the SFP port. I have not tested them for throughput but 1GBPS isn’t hard to hit.

I have these deployed as a LAG running maybe 200 feet. Zero connectivity issues. The only negative comment I have is that they do not lock in as with typical SFP modules. They do have the locking arm, but the arm does not lock them in. Since both switches are the same, not sure if it is a module issue or switch issue. Regardless, for the performance I am seeing so far, solid value.

A lot of people buy the fiber for high speed interconnect switches. My situation is more mundane. I installed a 4ft tall structure can in my house which only had a phone line for DSL an antenna for local channels and a satellite dish. After 11 houses were added to my street finally had Comcast Xfinity. NOW network, phone Local and cable QUAD in every room. Installed a NAS drive, DVR for 10 Dome and 10 PTZ cameras. So I installed the Cisco Switch CBS250-24T-4G. These 4 extra RJ-45 ports simply expanded what I was capable of doing. The RF modulator and Well Irrigation system will soon be networked as well. Knowing that I have that expansion capability gives rise to complete this project.

Did not work in the Ubiquiti Aggregation Pro. I tried several modules and the switch can see them, but no data was flowing through them. Didn't help to set port to 1G, still nothing would happen and the switch would fall offline.
