The Ipolex 10GBase-T for 1Gb, 2.5Gb, 5Gb, 10Gb over copper SFP+ Module seems to be decent quality, however it reports incorrect information back to the equipment. Mine is attached at 10Gb between a pair of switches, however even though it is on a copper port, it shows up as if it were 850nm MultiMode Fiber. I have attached a copy of the screen shot showing the diagnostic information. In production, this could result in confusion and making changes to the wrong device. You can see that the vendor part number is SFP-10G-T, however the rest of the statistics are for a fiber module. For that reason I have rated it only a 4-star.

It works great with my Juniper Ex3400 switch and it also works in my Intel X710 NICs. It was able to negotiate at 10Gbps on both devices and so far I haven't experienced any issues with it. So far the compatibility with my equipment seems pretty solid. The module does get pretty warm like most SFP+ to RJ45 10G adapters do. We do have quite a bit of fiber in our labs, but it's so nice to be able to just connect some things with RJ45 in a pinch. For the money, this isn't a bad option at all.

Was quick to auto-negotiate 1Gb, 2.5Gb, 5Gb, 10Gb connections testing it from both a SFP+ NIC & generic switch with dual SFP+ ports. The latching mechanism was a little tough to work but of course its a safety device so its understandable. A perfect addition to get my plex server's transfer speeds up to the present generation in network connectivity.

Friendly reminder these generic units can hit the promised speeds. I've done it over a shorter run of 5E before. However, keep in mind that these things do die from time to time, and I just had one die that was exactly like these. So keep that in mind and have spares on hand when troubleshooting

I ordered this for my home Ubiquiti UDM Pro to connect my main PC which has a 5Gb NIC using Cat8 cable. This was just to test as I will be upgrading my 1Gbps synchronous fiber internet connection to the new 5Gbps service from AT&T. It worked perfectly and the NIC in my PC successfully negotiated 5Gbps full duplex. Connectivity is perfect, just plug and play, and is perfectly compatible with my Ubiquiti UDM Pro. Even though this is a fairly simple build, it is high quality and sturdy. Also, this was the best price I was able to find for a 10G copper SPF+ module compatible with my hardware.

I installed this in one of the SFP+ ports we used to connect 2 buildings over 10Gbe, and it had no trouble establishing a 10Gbe connection and tests across the connection are as fast as you'd expect.Pictured is the module in the port, and the Unifi OS recognizing the 10Gbe connection. It does get warm when used, but so do the Unifi ones so that's normal. The best part about these is they're half the price of the official Unifi SFP+ modules.Easy to install and they just work!

I tested this out on a couple of different pieces of equipment, and it did not work. In one of them, show modules lists it as a 10G SR module, not copper. Maybe that's why it wouldn't work. In another device, I couldn't list the module, and it wouldn't link on that end of the link (it was a switch.) The other end showed a link of 1000, but no traffic was actually passing.I'm leaving a second star just in case this works on other equipment, but it didn't work on mine. I've used other 10gig RJ45 SFP+ modules on these same devices without issue, so my problem is with this particular module.
