Not as sturdy as I might have liked

I added pressure, treated braces and used moisture protective tape. Didn't really care for the saggy cover and this worked out perfectly.

Great buy! Easy to assemble and holds about 1/4 of a cord. Cover is heavy and fits well even when it's full.

The cover is not going to hold the form like in the picture. It is just a slip on. There's nothing to support the rectangular shape if that's important to you. It functions as advertised. It's lightweight and easy enough to assemble even solo.

After a recent exterior paint job on my home, I needed to move my old firewood rack from the front porch to the backyard. The next challenge was finding a suitable replacement for the rack I use to season freshly cut firewood. Thatβs where the Mars Explo 8ft Firewood Log Rack with Cover came in, offering the perfect solution. Iβve been impressed with how well it performs, especially with the addition of the watertight cloth cover, which ensures that my firewood stays dry no matter the weather. This rack is sturdy and spacious, able to hold at least half a cord of wood, which is a decent amount for my needs. It is divided into several sections, which helps distribute the wood evenly and keeps it organized. However, one thing to keep in mind is that youβll need a solid space with enough room to accommodate its footprint. Unlike my previous racks, which either had no feet or were simply supported by pressure-treated lumber, this one has feet that lift the whole structure off the ground. The raised design is an excellent feature as it allows air to circulate underneath, preventing moisture buildup that can lead to mold or mildew. The added benefit of this design is that it helps the wood dry out more effectively, especially during the wet months. The included cover is a standout feature of this rack. Itβs made from a durable, watertight cloth that provides protection against rain or moisture. Although we donβt get heavy snow in Southern California, I imagine this cover would be effective at keeping snow off the wood in colder climates. Additionally, the cover has ventilation vents on the sides, which help promote airflow, further aiding in drying out the wood. This thoughtful design is especially useful during the rainy season, ensuring that my firewood stays ready to burn even in less-than-ideal weather conditions. While the rack is a bit larger than my previous one, Iβve found that nature hates a vacuum, so I filled up this bigger one, and itβs still manageable in the space Iβve allocated for it. Overall, this is a well-made and practical firewood rack thatβs perfect for outdoor use. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable storage solution for their firewood, especially if youβre looking for something that can handle both storage and seasoning effectively.
