This is a fairly typical yellow-type router bit. Strong 1/2" shank finished to a medium or moderate level. The head is big and heavy, finished in a yellow coating that has a few flakes from here to here. These are cosmetic and not functional. The carbide wings are thick, allowing resharpening when the bit dulls. No flaws evident, the carbide is finished to a medium surface and the edge is consistently sharp.

I've used this bit to make a picture frame. First time using this type of bit and I will use this most every time in the future. They cut well and left a smooth surface behind. As for the quality, I'd say they are good. I've used it couple of times and its still as sharp as when I first used it. Well worth it for the price.

I've been collecting various kinds of router bits because I'm planning to make some picture frames. This one works great for joining two pieces together - I really like it.

I was a hard foam fabricator for a couple years and did some very large and complicated projects for trade show displays, TV show props, and business logos & displays, and business signage. And when it came to joining a couple pieces together at angles I came up with all kinds of crazy but effective techniques to accomplish that most all of which were very time consuming. How this bit solution for that problem escaped me is beyond me, except for maybe most my work was far thicker than this bit can handle. But for the thickness range this bit can handle up to 2.75 inches you would be crazy not to use it. I am looking forward to trying it out sometime soon in the future both for foam board and wood, individually and together as that is something also that this bit will allow. Dissimilar materials to be joined. How cool is that.

Overall not a bad quality bit. Comes nice and sharp; will see how long it lasts. Provides nice clean joints, great for drawers and other corners.

This is a super nice way of getting a good reinforced joint without having to go through more time intensive steps like box joints of dovetails. It works really well in place of a mitre joint of gift boxes and other small items. The one draw back is that its a bit tricky to set up, but there are a variety of videos on the internet that will help walk you through it. Glad to have one more option in my arsenal when tackling a new project.
