Nice looking, nice little pouch, BUT... it's not even close. I've tried 5 different pieces of measuring equipment and each says it is 442 NOT 440. And, yes, that does matter.

Cheap idea to tell the kids the piano got tuned for Christmas. Now just a fun thing for the kids.

I needed to buy a tuning fork for choir and this one does the job. It's not as big as other tuning forks I own and it is quite quiet, but it does its job. It is perfectly in tune and having a case is nice! It's a good tuning fork for the price.

This is very good. Tap it on you knee, hold it to your ear and tune the A string. After that tune the rest of the strings to the A string. In today's world of digital tuners we sometimes lose track of this simplicity. I did. I may be a bit off at times, but it is training my ear, and my brain. And, when I'm finished it sounds pretty darned perfect. Didn't cost much. Will last for years. Doesn't use batteries. I like. PW

Measured on both iPhone Cleartune app and Garage Band's tuning tool on a Mac. Two independent apps on two independent pieces of hardware, both reported it 7-8 cents flat at around 438 Hz. I ordered A-440 Hz and the fork is marked A-440.I can't imagine tuning fork technology has changed much in 100 years, so I'm not sure why they couldn't get it right. Oh well, I suppose this "company" will be gone in a few weeks anyway, replaced with another 6-letter, all-capital, never-heard-of-em brand with the same exact problem.

I bought this for nursing school and it works great! The tuning fork itself is not bent out of shape, uneven, or loose as some other products listed. The product arrived in perfect condition and the packaging was very nice with a little velvet bag to protect the tuning fork. Vibration is even and works perfectly for the Rinne and Weber tests!

It's a wonderful basic tuning fork. I really don't understand why people complain about the size or loudness, or 1Hz off the pitch (if you need an app to hear that, you really don't need a more precise one). It's just as loud as a tuning fork should be — you pinch it, you place it against a skull bone or just close to your ear, and you get the tone. It's also just the same size as all tuning forks I've ever seen or had.I'm a violinist with a pretty good pitch, and this thing serves its purpose for violin or singing practice. I recommend this thing for everyone who wants to practice!
