This fits my ROPER RT18BKXKQ03 Refrigerator. You have to learn what the numbers mean that are written on the thermostat to know if it will work in your refrigerator. You can find the correct numbers in your Refrigerator Manual. This is the FIRST part you should replace if your freezer ices up and stops cooling. Your refrigerator section will stop cooling too. Anyhow, You will see numbers such as on this one, "L48-30F", the numbers are what are important. The higher number (48) is the temperature that the compressor kicks ON. To get the temperature that the compressor kicks OFF, subtract the LOWER number from the Higher number. In this case, 48-30=18 degrees. For MY refrigerator, the CORRECT number is 44-26 (Compressor kicks OFF at 44 and kicks ON at 44-26=18 degrees. So pretty close, PLUS this manufacturer lists my refrigerator as a good fit. They're pretty simple to install. Just remove the plastic panels in the back side of your freezer compartment, snip out the old thermostat. Strip back the plastic of your new thermostat wires and the wires that you snipped (about 3/4"), twist them together (color doesn't matter, works either way you connect them). BE SURE TO USE SHRINK WRAP TUBING for this method, or you could use twist wire connectors and wrap with black tape. Excellent thermostat, highly recommended.

I was ready to buy a new garage fridge when the refrigerator portion stopped working. Instead, our neighbor who knows how to repair appliances came to take a look. After a few minutes, he recognized a common problem, and advised us to order this part. I did, and he came back to install it after it came in, and viola! Fridge is working again and saved us hundreds of dollars!
