The ProTapes Pro Gaff black gaffer's tape is 11 mil thick, 4" wide, and 55 yd. long, and is made from matte cloth with a rubber adhesive to conform to irregular surfaces and remove cleanly without residue from most surfaces. The tape, also known as gaffer or gaffers' tape, is printable and suitable for a range of applications including wire and equipment labeling as well as temporary cable hold down and sealing. It resists abrasion and can be torn by hand. The tape can be used outdoors and withstands temperatures from 50 to 200 degrees F. Tensile strength is 45 lb. per inch.
ProTapes & Specialties manufactures pressure-sensitive tapes. The company, founded in 1977, is headquartered in North Brunswick, NJ.

We like the 4" GAFF so we can use a single run for our cables whether it's an extension cord or other AV cables. So far this brand has been *excellent* as compared to others -- adheres well and tears easily. The only place it was not effective was the floor of a hockey rink where it lost its adhesion when it got wet (but I suspect this is to be expected).Highly recommend!

There are a lot of options out there and I wasn’t sure if I was ordering the right one (I know some gaffers tapes perform less than ideally and I’m not familiar with brands) but this proved to be a great purchase - I bought 2rolls each of 2” and 3” and have been using them regularly on exhibition setups ever since.They are performing well and standing up to the rigors of use in high-traffic situations.The tape adheres well to most substrates and materials and has so far removed cleanly from everything I have put it on when the time to disassemble / break down has arrived.I recommend this product.Is there a better gaff tape? Quite Possibly - there’s a better everything.Will you be disappointed in the way this tape performs? Unlikely.Get you some. Stick stuff down. Solve problems. Be happy.

I bought this for a combination of permanent and temporary usage laying down analog and digital A/V cables. The 4" size is perfect, even for a single cable. The tape rips easily with your hands. No need for a knife or sizzors. It is very flexible and great for corners. It also comes up easily from both wood and carpet. The perfect gaffers tape.
