These do not actually come as pictured with a hook at the top to hook lights or anything. Luckily there was a hole drilled and we ended up using zip ties through the hole to tie the lights to the top. They were easy to install on a fence top and look nice - just be prepared to need some extra ideas/parts to mount the item you're looking to string along the tops.

These posts are nice and thick, and could easily support any string lights I can imagine... These should even be fine with shade sails in medium wind conditions.I will be using mine atop a shared cinder block wall, to support steel trellis as I attempt to grow a nice, natural archway/tunnel/privacy screen between the wall and my roof over the pathway on the side of my house.

Posts are of good quality, decent welds. Finish is not perfect, but acceptable. My main issue is that the pictured post has a bracket, which would make it very easy to string lights. What I received is a square post with holes drilled on parallel sides near the top of the post. I have to add eye bolts or similar to hold the light string, will be less attractive than the item as advertised.

Good sturdy product but not accurately represented. The “L” brace at the top is now a predrilled hole. Not a dealbreaker but they should update their catalog image.

I ordered these to run a light string from my back deck wall to my rear roof. The height of these plus the back deck wall is close to 10 ft. More then enough clearance for me and any guests. I've had these outside for close to a month during rain and heat. So far there hasn't been any deterioration or rust to the posts. There were no unpainted spot on the posts. The are solidly built and have a very even coat of black paint. During the summer I will be attaching a tarp across these and my roof. I'm have no doubt they will be strong enough to handle it.
