A 3 x 3 Pad Under Each Leg is Required, Provided the Weight is Distributed Evenly Among the Four Legs For Impact Machines (Punch Presses, Drop Hammers) A Lesser Loading Capacity is Recommended - Generally 25 PSI A Double Thickness of a Pad May be Used to Accomplish Proper Loading If Desired When Hold Down Bolts are Necessary, the Bolt Should be Isolated from the Machine Recommended Maximum Loading Capacity: 50 Lbs per Square Inch

Using for a record player that was getting a lot of speaker and sub feedback. Legs were not flexible enough to not get vibration through the air and stand. This combined with speaker noise isolators remedied all of the feedback. Now can turn a pair of klipsch the fives paired with a spl 10 wide open and get no feedback what so ever.

I am using these to quiten an external drive with a bunch of HDDs in it. These do help the sound from traveling through the floor as loudly but not as much as expected. I am not 100% convinced they were worth the cost.

In an effort to be nice to downstairs neighbors I placed four of these under the casters of a portable air conditioner. The rumble that one could hear / slightly feel through the floor stopped.Note that this have a strong rubber odor, but if it bothers you, try putting them in Ziploc sandwich bags. They'll still work but you will have to be careful not to bump into your air conditioner because the wheels won't grip slick plastic bags like they will the rubber of these pads. But getting the rubber smell out of my environment was more important. I will consider letting them off-gas fully after the summer when I can put them somewhere else for a while. They work well at their intended job, however.

I placed these pads under a cooling fan to reduce vibration in the bedroom. They absorb vibration and prevent spreading through the walls and floors. Only thing I would suggest is take measurements of objects you intend to use these pads for. They look bigger than they are . They're about the size of a glass coaster.

I put them under the legs of my Wahoo Kickr Bike indoor trainer. It was sitting on top of Wahoo mat, which can protects the floor from sweat and hardwood on the floor from scratches, but it does not sufficiently absorb the vibrations from the flywheel of the trainer. With these shock absorbers, a significant fraction of the vibrations disappeared. In my house, it is installed on the second floor. Both, the noise level in the "kickr room" and the noise transmitted through the flor to the room below, were significantly reduced. The pads have a strong rubber smell out of the package. I left them in the garage for 24 hours. They still retained some smell after that, but much less. They are also a little pricey for what they are. They also come with a California disclaimer that some of the materials used for making them may cause cancer. This does not bother me because I do not touch them and not going to lick or chew them, either - I put them under the legs once, and they will sit there and do their vibrations absorption job forever. Since I do not have anything to compare them with, I cannot judge their efficiency on the relative scale. My wife says she still can hear the sound in the room below, which means they are not 100% effective in cancelling out vibrations. I do not know if alternatives in the same price range would be better. Since front leg of the Kickr Bike is flat and wide, it takes two 4" flat pads, so the range of options of what I can use is somewhat limited, for my purposes. Overall, so far so good, I think it was the case of "money well spent". A lower noise level in the kickr room itself (apparently, vibrations of the floor created sound in the room where I exercised) was an unexpected, but welcome bonus to reduction of noise downstairs.

Having bought this product to isolate from the floor, a couch which has a 100Watts (rms) bass shaker bolted to the frame and I am very satisfied of the end result. The sound vibrations aren't transmitted to the walls and surroundings anymore since I fitted every couch support with this product thus doing exactly what I expected. Therefore, I cannot speak for other purposes but for those looking to isolate audio equipment, subwoofers, speakers, bass shakers... look no further.Great price/performance ratio for audio acoustic isolation purposes

Ok, to address the elephant is the room...yes, they have quite a pronounced rubber smell...initially. The smell goes away after sitting out of the packaging in about an hour. I appreciate that some people are very sensitive to smell, so I'd recommend sitting them out in the open/outdoors for a bit before installing/handling.Having said that, these pads act as great vibration isolators! I bought these to use for a new turntable I purchased (Denon's magnificent VL12 Prime!). I currently have these pads under a 1" Top Chop maple butch block that I use as the turntable's platform. The pads isolate the platform & turntable from my rack surface. To further isolate the turntable, I then sat it on top of four Vibrapods (Model 4). This has resulted in not only a rock-solid, ultra-damped foundation for my turntable, but allows it to perform with better. The noise levels are markedly lower, tracking more precise and the sound is fuller with more extension. It's no secret that vibration can ruin sound, especially in something as "touchy" as a turntable. These pads are a cheap way of really improving the sound of your set-up without spending money on new gear or modifications. Isolating your turntable from your rack is a simple, easy way to better sound...and more enjoyment!
