The quality of the material for this particular scooper is perfect easy to clean the perfect size to pick up quite a few bits of ice. Comfortable to hold in your hand. it looks sleek and smooth when you hang it on the side of like an icemaker

It was wonderful until I dropped it on the floor and the handle broke off. I had been using it to put ice cubes in drink containers and stored it with the ice cubes in the freezer for easy access. Apparently it cannot handle the cold.

It's okay. I find this to be a little weirdly shaped for my liking. I got it to use with a countertop ice maker. It didn't fit in the ice basket of the maker. It didn't work with the ice bucket I bought either. I just don't care for the way the whole thing is shaped. It's uncomfortable in the hand. At least for me. I found the little scoop that came with the ice maker was much easier to use.I'd recommend a pass on this. It's too big for small jobs; it's too small for big jobs. It's not well-designed, imho. Mine is going to the thrift store. Meh

Likes:– simple design– well-made– true to the measurement 4 ounces– works for saltconcerns:– this might be too thin for some applications… I bought this use for Epsom salt and that works fine– it's not the most attractive piece/you can see the tack marks from weldingoverall:I purchased this ice scoop to be used in a tub of salt. It works well for this application, as I leave the scooper in the salt tub. For someone that might have this out… Let's say in a bar setting...this might not be aesthetically pleasing. From a functional standpoint, it works perfectly and measures 4 ounces. I can imagine that if you were going to use this on really hard ice it may flex and bend. The material is pretty thin. I included some pictures to give you a better idea. I hope this helped you make a decision.
