Conserv Safe Coin Solvent and BU Plus
In 1990, at a prominent U.S. dental products manufacturing company known as CDI, a unique new liquid was developed with the specific purpose of removing impurities from plastic and metal surfaces. As part of a technical surface preparation process, the aim of the product was to cleanse the surfaces of rigid molds prior to the pouring of refractory high-heat silicates.
Upon the release of this product, the Director of CDI discovered that this liquid had the ability to remove surface dirt, impurities, gums, grease, varnish, inks, etc. on coins but it also quickly removed surface PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride “green-residue”) from coins as well! Not only did the liquid rinse away the PVC, but it did not disturb the metal in any way! Surface “toning” was left completely intact while contaminants were rinsed off with ease.
(Conserv Safe Coin Solvent will NOT remove tarnish or stains to the metal itself, try BU Plus for that instead)
After repeated tests on different metals and on many surface problem coins, especially those with slime, darkened ash, dirt, and wet or dry PVC, the liquid removed residues consistently while leaving the original coin surfaces undisturbed... a collector’s dream remedy! Since the discovery of the cleansing effect this liquid has on coins, the Director proceeded to use this liquid treatment before sending off coins for "slabbing" to the grading services … always undetectable … continuously … for over two decades! Now, after many years of successful use and aiding fellow collectors/dealers with this great product, CDI has agreed to allow its sale to the coin collecting industry and beyond.

This poduct gently removes surface debris from metal surfaces...As far as collectable coins..Afteruse of this product..Those coins will straight grade by certifiers..

This solution and the instructions that came with it are very clear and works top notch if you fallow instruction carefully. Gold silver nickel all worked perfect. Copper works well if you don’t over soak the copper.

I won’t use it to clean coins as it could possibly change the quality of a valuablecoin, I won’t risk it but it does work on my silver jewelry.

It cleans the coin without ruining it. Don’t get it on your, it stains so you have to get it out of clothing right away. At least that what mine did.

It doesn’t actually clean my coins collection as I expected to be even if I soak it for days and used cotton swab or cloth. I’m not happy with this product.

This coin cleaner works well for me. I tried it on some test coins before using it on antique coins. It removes contamination and green oxide on copper coins very well without changing the tone of the coins Work well for silver and gold coins too.

Conserv arrived quickly and thoughtfully packaged! This coin cleaner works very well to help shine coins you are collecting or coins that are just covered in crud. After following the instructions, Conserv performed significantly superior in loosening dirt not part of the patina. It's simple to use and normally only takes one application of the cleaner. The cleanup process is simple and the results are outstanding. I will definitely purchase more; great product!
