If you're looking for a quality product at a reasonable price that will polish your jewelry and belonging beautifully then this is the product for you. After I received the product I tried it out on some jewelry that I wear everyday and I was more than satisfied with the result with very little effort and using a Dremel with a felt buffing wheel the jewelry I polished came out just as nice as if I would have taken them to a jeweler.

Honestly, I was skeptical at first, but after using on a variety of metal items I was impressed. So, I have nothing but great things to say after using the Metal Polishing Compound Kit.The Compound bars are quality made, very easy to use with the ability to re-use multiple times. The kit provides a variety of bars depending on the level abrasiveness. I've found each bar works great ranging from stainless steel, silver, and steel that provides a mirror finish.I have used this product over a dozens times this month alone with great success of removing scratches and polishing metals. If you're in the market for a premium quality Polishing compounds this is the kit for you.

So I purchased this a while back, and actually... it's amazing stuff. Only downside is the wax binder they use just does not clean off easily. I've recently polished parts for anodizing, and getting all potential contamination off *compound* is one of the most important things.I've tried boiling water, soapy water, boiling soapy water, industrial degreasers, ultrasonic cleaner, ultrasonic toothbrush and still cannot get it completely out of the inside of pieces, especially threaded holes.I wish they binder they used was more water soluble, because even hopping in the shower covered in black compound, and it still doesn't want to completely come off.Great product as far as grit goes though. Polishes way better than this expensive compound I bought that's made in France.

I was always skeptical about polishing compounds and was not really sure of their application. I did some research and dived in. I was restoring an old metal stand that was rusted and just looked really bad. After using a wire brush to remove the rust and sanding to remove minor pitting, I bought some small buffing and polishing wheels for my air tool and went to town. These compounds helped me slowly restore my project to its former glory, providing a mirror-like finish that I was able to spray paint and restore to a new life. Stepping through the levels of different compounds is necessary for success, but the end result is amazing and a little goes a long way. I am now a fan of these compounds and will continue to purchase this brand as needed. Highly recommended!

Really great product, definitely one of the best choices on Amazon for buffing compound. The compounds last forever and I’ve barely dented any of them after heavy use for multiple weeks. There may be some overlap in the metals that should be used for each color of compound, but having all the options along with the instruction guide makes choosing the right compound much easier, and can be very helpful when going for perfect mirror finishes or trying to get a nice finish on a very soft metal.

The packaging needs to be be more protective since two of the blocks were broken in two. They will still be usable. However, they might have been shattered which would make them less convenient to use. This is a fragile item and needs more robust packaging.

This is a great way to get several compounds at once, if you have need for more than a couple. While there are many sources for a pound of each grade, I can't see myself going through any of these in a year, given my various projects polishing a glass cook top (blue) stropping kitchen knives and an occasional chisel blade (red & white - maybe green) or restoring a rusty table saw (black brown, and maybe red).. So I like the set. I find the blue, which I use the most with a felt rolock disk on my cook top, is a bit hard - it will form a pervasive layer in the felt with effort, but it works as well to apply it to glass or plastic like a crayon, and polish it away. Other users also mention hardness in their reviews.

Honestly i didn't know what to expect when i purchased these bars, never used em before and i needed them to redo a set of aluminium wheels i purchased. I sanded down the wheels since they were in the rough, with a 320 grit sandpaper, and was gonna follow up with 1500 grit before i used these bars. Instead i left the wheels in the 320 grit state and used the brown medium grit bar to see what would happen. I couldn't hardly believe it, with the buffing wheels i used, this stuff took that 320 grit down to a polish. At first i thought, well it's just the buffing wheel doing it, so i tried without the compound, and got no results at all. This stuff works, to take 320 grit down to a polish is amazing, and i still have the fine grit compound to do yet... should turn out really well if all goes good.
