I bought this to replace the failing motor for my trash compactor. The original was a 900n and this new one is 3000n. I can attest to its strength and power as it easily pressed my overflowing garbage can down at least 10”!In my area, the trash company will charge extra when the can is full to the point the lid doesn’t close all the way. The charges range from $20-$45 every two weeks. Ouch! This is typical when the kids come home from school breaks and our garbage can cannot accommodate the extra trash.Having this compactor saves me from having to get into the can from a ladder to jump up and down. One time while doing this, the can balance went sideways and I ended up falling down which really hurt.I am very pleased with the action of this unit and the cost. It will pay for itself in a months time.

Product is made in China and arrived a day late, despite opting to pay for faster service. Works but seems to strain well under the capacity of the advertised maximum lift.

I bought a pair of these after watching a video on You Tube. A guy fabricated an upper and lower bracket to bolt onto his 48HP Johnson motor to add a power tilt. I have some skills and a welder, so decided to give it a try. After designing the brackets, cutting the metal and welding, I bolted them onto my 1988 Johnson 50 HP outboard. The linear actuators (6 inch stroke size) worked great and easily lifted/tilted the motor up and down. I mounted the motors on the actuators as high as possible to avoid full submersion into the water. I have not tested them out yet on the water, but expect it will work great.

I used these actuators to fabricate a tilt and trim on a 50 year old outboard motor. The actuators have worked great so far after about 2-3 months of use and 50+ extend retract cycles. While the actuators are not in the water they do get splashed with water spray and seem to be sealed well, I may coat the seams with plasti dip or similar, but it doesn't really seem to be needed. My only possible complaint would be that for my application these actuators are on the slow side, about 50% faster would be great, but my choices of actuators are limited by my required mounting location.
