The actuator worked great for my capstone project. I used this actuator to operate the throttle on a small engine. Had enough power to move the throttle after loosening the arm. The brackets that came with it didn't work for my application. The mounting hole on the black body is not in the greatest spot. The hole is almost right against the back of the body so its hard to mount it without something rubbing.

I have already used the 6” version and I just got two of these 2” actuators. Contrary to what another review stated, they absolutely do have limit switches. I just finished testing them. The product page doesn’t say they do but the product page for the 6” does mention them. I almost didn’t order them because of that erroneous review. I can make my own but it’s nice to have them built in. These are just like the larger linear actuators but miniature. I love them.

The linear actuator was smaller than I anticipated. The main body is about the width of a standard carpentry pencil. So far it appears to be working great. Relatively quiet. As far as I know, it doesn't have internal limit switches, but running it to the extreme ranges doesn't appear to hurt anything. I just wouldn't make a habit of it. My application is moving a robots head up and down via RC. Im glad that i don't have to worry about adding limit switches to it. Be careful to not accidentally throw away the mounting brackets as they were stuffed down in the bottom of the packaging material.
