WisWinDa 4 Channels RCA Ground Loop Noise Isolator with Gold Coating Cable Red+White
WisWinDa RCA groud loop noise isolator is a portable design and “plug&play” direct box device.
The sound source and the input terminal of the isolator form a loop separately, and the output terminal of the isolator and the load also form a loop. There is no physical electrical connection between the front and rear audio equipment, thereby ensuring electrical isolation and achieving the following purpose:
1. Purify the audio signal transmission, utilising the unbalanced signal transmission mode, which could be sure that the signal will not have interference noise caused by the length of the cable;
2. Eliminate the interference noise caused by out-of-phase power supply;
3. Eliminate the interference noise generated by the ground potential difference;
4. Unplugging and plugging signal cables in accidents or emergencies will not cause sparks due to voltage differences, which protects the safety of the front and rear equipment; the power line is divided into A, B, C three-phase and the neutral line L. The general equipment is a single-phase power supply with a working voltage of 110-240V, using L, N, G (safety ground) three-wire safety sockets. In actual working situation, the distance between the sound source and the power amplifier and the simultaneous interpretation host is very far in many cases, and there will be different power supply situations: cross-phase lines, and different safety grounds (G).

I’ve got a pair of McIntosh MC30s power amps and C8/C8S preamps that are spaced ~12ft apart due to space limitations. I was getting some hum on one channel that was really annoying me and this was the only thing that was able to get rid of ~90%. Totally worth the money.

There are few things more frustrating than eliminating noise or stray voltage due to a ground loop. The WisWinDa ground loop noise isolator provides a great solution for up to 4 channels.Inputs and outputs are all RCA jack, and four shielded, but very short RCA to RCA cables are included. If you need to connect to something else, use a good quality shielded cable. The grounds of each channel are isolated from each other (as they should be) though they're probably tied together in your sound source.If a common ground for either input or output channels are required, there is a switch (separate for input and output) to tie just that side to the common ground.The ground loop noise isolator is in a rugged metal shielded enclosure. Connectors and switches are high quality. And it does a great job of eliminating hum and other noise due to ground loops.

Relatively nice ground loop isolator/transformer... but pricey. However, for the price you get some options here that you may not normally see in lower priced items, giving you a total of 4 channels (2 each of left + right) and a ground lift switch. If you don't need these features, a smaller less expensive unit will probably do just fine, but I'm really digging the ability to have an all-in-one transformer for multiple channels, with the ability to pass through ground if needed.
