I got these to go with my Fanttic T1 Max soldering iron which I must add is absolutely fantastic for just about anything I have thrown at it and does the job perfectly these along with the diagonal wedge shaped chisels are by far my favourite tips as far as functionality is concerned most of the time when I’m using the Fanttik I’m soldering inside working on PCB “fun” “project” kits some of which I’ve done are completely useless to me as I hadn’t read the description well enough just seen complicated high parts counts type stuff at interestingly low cost only to find out that it was so cost effective because it’s an add on for arduino or raspberry PI type circuit and hey no skin off my teeth the fact is 90% of the soldering I do is because I enjoy the art (after being a professional electrical tech in the automotive manufacturing industry doing pre fabrication and final installation as well as quality control testing & inspection for my career good high quality soldering is as much a skill & discipline taking time practice and patience to develop as it is an art form that anyone can learn and become more than proficient in however there is a fraction of the population who with no instruction up to a bare minimum 10 second explanation of what to do can pick up a soldering iron and accomplish joints that seasoned techs dream of doing consistently the fact that 0.01% of people have that aptitude within themselves to me is what separates teachable skills from naturally occurring talent and artistic ability if it can be learned but has the potential to be naturally occurring it’s art you can teach painting and carving yet there’s a level where some people with no experience can paint or carve in ways even the average person skilled with a brush or chisels can only ever dream of….. just an opinion but I digress) back to the review so I have a very low end 110 plug in soldering iron the kind that comes with a tributes flat metal fold out “stand” solder without led or flux in it some butt connectors and can double as a replacement for a wood burning kit from the 80’s the ones they used to have on commercials and sell like a board game, I’ve got a AA powered portable Weller brand unit, an 11W FrogBro cordless unit (best version of that design), a second 8W frog bro style cordless iron I bought because it was the same price for it as it was for 2 new tips for my real frogbro they are the ones with a touch pad on the side the lower watt versions with a single LED and more accessories included are not as good as the “original” I ended up giving that one away to my father but essentially they are the same basic tool with slightly different plastic clamshells and the same or slightly stripped down circuitry made by the same manufacturer for other brands and the wattage is determined by the resistance of the tip and the amperage of the battery they all run a single18650 that’s covered in shrink wrap and has a mini harness that plugs in the board so when the battery kicks it older laptops 18V drills and your kids rebuildable vapes all mostly run on those batteries inside the packs so you can easily open it up unplug the old battery solder the positive and negative ends of the wire to a new battery plug it back in reinstall the 5-6 screws and call it good the only thing I’ve found is that if you get the flashing red light indicates a. Short bet you $ the lightbulb style socket those tips screw into which is simply pressed against the PCB that has a thin bit of tinning added over the gold pads has been heat cycled and jiggled to the point where it doesn’t make proper contact anymore it happened to me recently after getting it back from a friend who loaned it and had been keeping it in his car to have it on hand next time he seen me not to forget returning it the theory is that between the hot and cold days of winter in Nova Scotia along with the effects of heat cycling on the thin layer of tinning that didn’t completely cover the ground contacts which are like 2 half moons positive is the centre but that looks like a small Philips screw well it’s not that’s just a small bit of solder on the contact pads and oxide layers build up weather the cocker was ever actually soldered to the board or not is debatable I know as I used it the tip seemed to be looser and looser I used super glue at one point to help hold it in it helped a bit but when the issue came up and I had it apart I noticed that I was getting occasional contact b4 losing it so I added new solder to the 2 half moons tinned the socket and then it was just fine so I went back put a nice blob on the middle to keep contact and wear the oxide layer every time the tip is removed and installed and then I soldeee red the socket to the board with a heavy hand and added a few drops of gel super glue to the flange part that makes contact to the outside edge of the plastic that way it is supported mechanically on both ends …. I was in a hurry if and when that joint cracks I’ll use 2 pieces of multi strand copper wire on each of the half moons contacts and attach them to 4 separate points on the socket restoring connection of the board to the socket with multiple points while not depending on a mechanical connection to both allow conductivity and anchor a major structural stress point I apologize for the long winded unrelated tutorial in my review but I figure that there’s likely lots of other people like myself who have likely started with the lower cost frogbro type irons b4 spending well over 100$ for the high end stuff like the fanttik soldering iron which uses the tips I’m writing this review about so if the momentary touch pad function doesn’t matter to you get the one that you think is prettiest or whichever one has the best discount going at the time they’re all about the same price regular now that is out of the way I actually did that job using these new tips with my fanttik I did so with the second lowest of the 6 temp settings I find it easier to clean the tips using damp sponges with a hair more heat they’re so fine literally needle point you could near tattoo with them they’re that fine tipped but with the curve to them they hold a good bit of solder to them they allow for precise detail work on soldering single leads to pads if you want to while also being able to hold a gob of melted solder and dragging it across multiple pads for attaching surface mounted IC type chips similar in the way you use the chisel style flat ends with the added bonus of detail work when needed and allows for desoldering on surface mounted work when you accidentally bridge two points clean that curved needle point really good and pass through the bridged contacts 80% of the time that’s it that all problem solved 15% of the time you need to do it a second or third time to get excess solder removed the last 5% is when copper mesh or a manual plunger operated solder sucker is your best friend but I was shocked with how quickly easy and reliably I could get the job done with impressive results with surface mounted soldering which I’m brand new to working with I constantly get functionally sound intermediate level joints at my worst and at my best professional level joints that are so clean that it’s difficult to tell if it’s factory or skilled repair/mods and for fresh joints I’ve been able to get near robotically controlled factory level of perfection at my best these 210 style tips seem to hold up well and are not as prone to having the joints get loose as they are used making them wiggly like some tip styles I’m used to they are easy to work with switch out with the most minimal effort possible take very little space to keep spares and different tip styles they heat up with extreme efficiency cool off just as quickly and with the exception of making it easier to solidify molten solder in place if you prefer using low heat and damp sponges for cleaning I see no drawbacks and what tip cleaning problem if your using something like this chances are your using tweezers pliers and or wire snips so just scrape off the tip using the edge of a metal tool and then go wipe down with your damp sponge and problem solved as simple as that these specific tips are excellent value for the price and are standardized so they’re not proprietary to a specific model if memory serves the pencil and other ultra compact soldering irons that are commonly available as well as the Fanttik T-1 MAX all use this tip platform I believe it’s the C210 the fact that they have so many different options in general and this set comes with the straight needle point the curved needle point and the wedge shaped sharpened edge chisel tip and they’re each individually packaged in their own hard plastic “tube” the electrode end seats firmly into the cap protecting the finely pointed and sharpened edges along the working ends of each piece they work as well as the included tips that came with my Fanttik weather or not they function as flawlessly in any other make or model I wish I could confirm or deny but being limited to the options I own and chose based on needs philosophy of use (pou) and personal budget and the fact that the Fanttik is the new kid on the block atm and I used it with these tips to repair my first cordless soldering solution my beloved frogbro think of this like a 3 for 1 with the added bonus of a nerds version of an unofficial TSB for good measure all jokes aside I’d get them again in a heartbeat the 3 most useful tip styles individually protected and shipped in bubble wrap now how much more than that could anyone ever possibly ask for

These tips are very well made and work well provided you have the accompanying soldering iron. For those ordering replacement or spare tips, you want to be sure of your model number and the compatibility of these tips because they are very size specific. Their diameter is milled for certain iron handles and without that perfect milling and size, the fit and heat transfer will be affected. Each soldering tip comes in its own protective case that holds the tip perfectly centred inside the case to provide total protection when not being used. The tips are milled with a good variety of shapes to suit a large variety of soldering needs. They are made of quality materials and the tips friction fit perfectly into your soldering iron handle to provide a fantastic and secure connection. The tips heat quickly and due to their smaller size, they also cool quickly once the iron is shut off. Any excess solder cleans off the iron tips very easily and quickly to provide a clean iron. The small tip designs provide an incredible way to solder the smallest connections. Perfect for LED strips or circuit boards. A great set of soldering iron tips.

I haven't had much luck with C210 no name tips in the past. These are "VECO" brand. They heat up in 2 or 3 seconds.I haven't had any trouble with them yet. And they are a lot more affordable than JBC.This set has a straight and offset tip that would be appropriate for SMDs, and a nice 45 degree blade tip that's pretty good for everything else.So far so good. I think I'll get a few more varieties of these 😊

I am reviewing the set of three C210 soldering iron tips. This is a set of the three most common soldering tips used for microsoldering; a point, a curve and a knife tip. I am a hobbyist and don't have lengthy soldering sessions. Most of my soldering sessions are under an hour.I have an Aixun T3B soldering station with a C210 handle. These tips work fine in my soldering station.

I recently tried out these VECO-T soldering iron tips and they've been quite effective for my electronics projects at home. For someone like me who's into tinkering with small electronic components, the precision of these tips is really appreciated—especially given their affordable price point compared to other brands on the market. The construction feels sturdy, which I found reassuring since I'm often working on delicate parts where a broken tip could be disastrous. They heat up quickly and maintain a consistent temperature, making the soldering process smooth without needing frequent adjustments. That said, while they perform well for my needs as a hobbyist, I noticed they may not have the same longevity as pricier brands. However, given their cost-effectiveness, you can get several of these tips, which is fantastic if you want to keep your toolset stocked without breaking the bank.Overall, I'm happy with my experience using these tips and would recommend them to fellow hobbyists looking for a reliable yet budget-friendly option.

Tip literally exploded and almost burned my apartment down. Didn’t even get to use it!! Burned my desk pad and my phone case which was near. Do NOT buy these cheap JBC knockoffs. You will burn your house down!!

This is a great 3 piece C245 iron tips for soldering and resoldering circuit boards.I have few of the Veco-T tips and I love them.Try to not leave these tips on high tempts without use, that can damage them or not last long,if you have a soldering station that has sleep mode, great and if not it's best to turn off iron until you will use it These tips works great for SMD soldering and unsoldering. They work great on JBC soldering station or any other soldering station with C245.I really like these tips, they have lasted me a long time because I take care of them. And the best part is there are super affordable.I will continue to buy these tips and since they don't break the bank it's best to buy a few extra as backups.

I tested the Veco-T C245-J02, C245-K and C245-C8 tips with a Yihua 982 Green station using the Yihua 616A handle (five pin connector). Third party tips rarely mention Yihua compatibility so that was my core test with these Veco-T tips. I found the tip resistance to be similar to a Yihua C245 tip with the exception of the C8 tip which showed no resistance. I suspect this might be due to the design as the tip heated as expected. With all three tips provided, they heated and cooled as expected. They also took 63Sn/37Cn (183 degree C) 0.3mm HTM rosin core solder with no issues. The tinned areas of the tips adhered solder with no gaps. The black insulation rings appeared to have slightly larger length and the length varied around the circumference compared to the Yihua tips but it did not impact performance. One should be aware that the C8 tip is huge and will not fit into the docking cradle of the Yihua station. While I cannot yet determine the longevity of these tips, they are performing well for me at this point in time.

These tips work very well with the T210 precision soldering station. They heat up in about ... 2 seconds! It is amazing how fast they heat up and then maintain that temperature. They are pre-tinned so there is nothing you need to do other than insert in the soldering iron handle and start working. These are for SMD and other small electronics, do not expect to melt solder with these over huge pads.I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality and durability of these tips. As a electronics hobby-ist, I can say that these tips are top-notch and have exceeded my expectations in every aspect.Firstly, the construction of these tips is sturdy and well-made. The metal is thick and durable, ensuring that they can withstand repeated use without bending or breaking. This is especially important when working with delicate electronics, as a broken tip can cause significant damage to the component.Secondly, the temperature control on these tips is excellent. The constant temperature feature allows for precise control over the heat output, which is crucial when working with sensitive components. I've found that the tips heat up quickly and evenly, ensuring that the soldering process is smooth and efficient. Finally, these tips are very reasonably priced compared to other brands on the market. For the value you receive, these tips represent an excellent savings.I highly recommend the 3PCS Soldering Iron Tips to anyone in need of high-quality, durable tipsthat can handle even the most delicate electronics work.

I was hoping the 3 C245 tips would be around $15, but at $26 they are a bit high. I need them to test a C245 soldering iron, so I got them. They seems to be ok, well made but not anything to rave about. Heat up ok but how long they will last, you have to check back to see.
