Zero for 2 on attempts to install this product on my gas cans.On my old 2gal "pre-safety nozzle" can with a cracked threaded cap, the can neck was too long for even the larger threaded cap to engage. Size differential shown in attached pic. No way I was going to cut down the neck -would need to be perfect to get the nozzle gasket to seal, and even with a perfect cut the threads might not engage.On my 1gal can with an awful leaky "safety nozzle", the cap threads did not match/engage.Then I tried what I thought was my clever backup Plan B: Use the new flex hoses with the old threaded caps.Zero for 2 on Plan B: The bases of the flex hoses didn't match up to seal inside the caps.My third potential application is a 5gal can at another location, which I won't have access to for a couple months.IMO safety nozzles are a self-defeating concept -I spill more from the 1gal safety nozzle than I would with a flex hose.The description says "For most 1/2/5/10 gal gas cans". Obviously, gas can threads aren't universal in design, and I don't know how "most" was determined. This product didn't fit most of my gas cans. Unfortunate.This product is low cost, therefore disappointed but not feeling too bad. Two stars: maybe the 3rd can will be a winner?Do you feel lucky? Worth a try if you like the idea and are willing to take a chance.

This is a handy set of gas can spouts that fit the usual style of plastic gas cans.This is a nice assortment to have and helped me save many of my gas cans when I misplacedthe cap or spout or just needed a tighter seal on the gas cap.I found that I could not find these small plastic items anywhere at local big box stores.Instead, the companies want you to purchase a new plastic gas can instead of selling a cap or spoutif you need one.Overall, this is a practical item to have around and you will use it when the time is right.It allows you to save your gas cans and replace your cap and spouts if they are ever damaged or misplaced.Thank you!

The spout kit is very useful and easy to install. They are made from durable materials with fittings for most containers. I did not see any leakage when in use. Overall, I feel it gets the job done without a mess.

These are usable replacements for non-working fuel tank spouts, or lost parts for them. They are similar to the old style spouts before the current and frequently nonfunctional "safety" spouts were put on the market a few years ago.These replacements use a separate vent and have no internal vent or spout valve. They just use a flexible plastic fueling tube.A separate vent (included in kit) can be added and a drill bit is included for adding the vent. Also a separate screw-on vent cap is included for older cans that already have a separate vent -- those often go missing, so these are spares.Note: Caution: do not use an electric drill on fuel cans that contained gasoline, as motors in electric drills produce sparks, which can ignite fumes. I use an old style "eggbeater" type hand drill to add a vent to a previously used fuel can. You can also turn the drill bit by hand in a makeshift handle.I have removed 1 star for lack of instructions packaged with these spouts.

Nice set with multiple adapters makes it easy to attach to any gas can. Once attached, they don't leak, and the stoppers work well. It even came with a drill bit for installing the vents. Much nicer not to have leaky spouts.

This is a wonderful solution to resolve the issue found with modern gas cans and their very hard to use pour spouts.These spouts work perfectly with all of my gas cans pitched from big box retailers. They don’t leak when pouring gas, and the pour end of the spout is threaded to accommodate a the included screw-on end cap, which avoids the cap accidentally coming off if bumped.Several other end cap options were also included, but the screw on cap was the best in my view..The quality of the spouts seem to be really good and the bend relatively easy. Installing them is as simple as removing the existing spout and screwing on the new one - see my before and after picks.The length of the spout is longer than the original it replaced, which makes it easier to use. These are a great solution for equipping you gas cans with easier to use spouts that are still secure and safe.
