Used this bullet laser to true a finger guard laser on an Sig Sauer P238. Simple, easy and 100% accurate at 20 yards. Sure, it’d be nice to have an on/off switch, but battery removal is quick & easy. For the price… money well spent rather than a box of trial & error ammo at the range.

While the multi caliber bore lasers get more value per dollar, I found this is the only way to use smaller ones like the Ruger LCP which is too small for the multi caliber bore sight. You can get about 10 minutes on a set of 3 batteries which will run out quickly.

Got this to true a dot sight, for a friend, removed the barrel from the pistol, clamped it in a Jig. Inserted the bore sight, marked the dot on white paper (15 feet) 1/4 turn & marked - 1/4 turn & marked -and one more turn, this equaled just over 3 3/8 inches = junk.. nuf said..

This is a great little bore sight. Comes with spare batteries and it actually works great. The directions are very clear so it’s easy to use and it’s a great value for the money.

The laser bore sight for caliber .380acp came with very detailed instructions on how to load the batteries and get the laser working. This model, like others I have tried, does not come with an on/off switch. It turns on as you load the third of 3 small batteries and screw the base on. The manufacturers assume users do not want to simply remove the batteries to turn it off. OK, that's fair. But it isn't really that big a problem to remove them. If the user is having trouble, or reloading, or going downrange to check their shooting accuracy or some other reason for an extended session, just unscrew the base and dump the batteries. Reload them when you're ready again. This particular caliber is fairly small in diameter and bullet length, so installing a switch would be difficult. The set comes with tiny green stick-on patches to put on the the last battery to be able store the batteries in the cartridge, which seems to me to be a solution looking for a problem. They do work very well when properly installed (onto the small, +, end of the last battery to go in). But why risk draining the batteries when it is so simple and quick to just load them when you are ready to use the laser? You'd have to open the laser to remove the patch, anyway. The set also includes a spare rubber O-ring, which snugs the working end of the laser into the chamber. As for the accuracy of the laser, it was dead-on for my pistol. At about 45 feet, the laser dot was directly above my front sight when the front sight was centered in the rear sight. For this pistol, which only has a 2.5 inch barrel anyway, I wouldn't expect great accuracy much more than that distance. My sights are only adjustable for windage, anyway. I suspect most guns of this caliber are not that accurate at 50 or more feet. But, at least I now know that any inaccuracy is MY shooting ability, not the gun's fault. You get the detailed instructions for use, a 2 piece laser, 2 sets of 3 batteries, a spare O-ring, a sheet of 36 stick-on insulating dots and a nice tin to carry it all. I'm giving it 5 stars because it works for my gun, is easy to assemble and use, and was in perfect alignment with my sight picture.

When you’re cleaning your chamber, it’s nice to have your field of vision illuminated in the smaller spaces. Having a bore sight is game changing to your cleaning process. It puts a light where the bullet would go and is the same size caliber so always check the sizing before purchase - should be the same as your weapon. A clean and well maintained weapon is the first half of gun safety, so would recommend!
