DigitConvert 35mm Slide Viewer

Now, use the DigitConvert 35mm slide viewer without leaving any nostalgic slides! This unique portable device allows you to view memories from old 35mm slides and similar negatives. Just plug it into the USB power cord or AA batteries (batteries are included), and you can see your precious photos with vivid colors! The image is lit and enlarged three times, so you can enjoy your precious memories.
Most importantly, our extremely simple design ensures that many people can use it, just put the slide into the slot to view it. There is even a quick eject button to remove the inserted slide so that you can load the next one.
Two Ways to Power
Load 4 AA batteries into the designated space for hours of fun. Alternatively, plug the AC/DC 6V 500mA power adapter (not included) into the power jack to keep the device powered for uninterrupted slideshow viewing. (Batteries included)
Make it Magnified
The built-in integrated magnifier magnifies images up to 3x without distortion, blurring, or loss of detail, and the illumination is bright and even with no color casts.
Built-in LED Light Box
Behind the generous glass viewing area has daylight LED bulbs, which gently illuminate images for maximum clarity and contrast. It’s perfect for viewing pictures anytime, anywhere.
Notes
- USB cable can be connected to any power adapter or device with a USB port for an electrical connection only and not as a means of transferring photos from the viewer to a device.
- Care and maintenance: when storing for an extended length of time, remove the batteries from the battery compartment. Clean the magnifying lens with a soft dry cotton cloth or lens cleaning paper.
- Please put in one slide at a time and do not put in multiple films or slides at the same time.
- If the slide is stuck, press and hold the release button and wait for the slide to slide out completely before releasing it.

Arrived quickly, easy set-up. Works well, affordable. I do remove batteries after each use to prevent accidental drainage and corrosion. Haven't tried the plug in charger yet because cord is too short to be of any use. Manufacturer should make it possible for a phone cord to be used instead.

Makes it easy to go thru those old slides. The cord is ridiculously short, but just use an extension cord. If you're having trouble getting it to turn on w/batteries, make sure the cord is not plugged into the viewer.

So frustrating to get something you looked forward to getting and have it not work....won't light up...I tried new batteries, I tried using the plug...nothing. What a pain in the ass to return. It looks like it would be good if it worked...

It comes with 4AA batteries (yay!) but my unit won't operate on batteries (boo!). I tried both the batteries it came with and 4 brand new batteries of my own. I carefully placed them in the exact direction listed on the compartment, and also tried several other variations in case the direction arrows were printed wrong. Nothing. But, the unit works perfectly when plugged into an outlet... but that brings up another pain point. The unit doesn't use a common power port size like a USB C, it uses a USB cable with a round power connector. That means you have to use the cable supplied by the manufacturer, but that cable is WAY too short to be practical. The battery terminals have an odd shape, so while I doubt all of them are broken - I have a feeling this is a design flaw that impacts a lot of units. With the battery issue and the stupid short power cable, I have to deduct a star. (Really it should be 2 stars but the rest of the features just work so well and it is priced so low, I just can't fairly rate it less than 4 stars overall.)If you can get pass the power issue, the unit itself works really well and is thoughtfully designed. The LED light is very bright but not overpowering. The fact that you can use either negatives or slides if a nice extra. The mechanism for ejecting slides into a little tray underneath is also a nice touch if you are going through several.I also found that if you have the unit powered on without a slide inserted, you can use the bright light to hold slides up to the screen and see the image well enough to quickly sort through slides to find the one(s) you want to put into the viewer. This is MUCH easier than holding the slide up to a light on the ceiling. You also have to insert the slides backwards for the images to appear in the correct orientation. This makes sense though - when you use a projector you normally stand behind it and see an image reflected off a screen and back to you. In this case, you are looking into the "projector" and seeing the image before it is reflected back to you on a screen. It doesn't take long at all to get the hang of it.The Quality Control on the power issue definitely needs to be addressed. But otherwise, this is a well-designed and well-made machine at a great value.

My 88-year-old mom loves it! Her wedding photos and many more are on 35mm slides. We had a wonderful time viewing them. It's easy to use.
