I would say this is a - reading is fundamental type of purchase. Didn't realize it didn't come without a key.Then found out it never opens. But it's too cute to send back, so I will find that's a decorative use for it

it’s so cute i love how it stands out! took it down to the distillery district with my boyfriend to put on the love lock sign :) permanent marker worked great and didn’t rub off. a little hard to close but we got it.

Wanted to surprise my fiance with a date to the lock bridge in my city for Valentine’s Day. Was such an unexpected surprise at a low cost, but will be there forever! (Or until they decide to take them down) but if you or your partner like sentimental gestures this is a great easy win and something you can always go back to cherish!

I absolutely love the idea behind it being locked forever with no key. My husband and I got this to put on a bridge during our honeymoon and it was so cute. Just a tip for anyone who’s wanting to do something similar or leave it outside - after you’re done writing on it, coat it with polyurethane. Going to be more weather resistant!

Using this as a love lock for a Valentines event in town. This lock is cute, dainty and I love that it comes with no key so once it's locked it's locked. I decorated mine with rhinestones and put mine and my husbands initials on it. Very cute!

Edited to add a picture of one that was placed outside for a year with the new one underneath. Seems to be holding up great after a year. I used Acrylic paint pens and did a couple coats of outdoor mod podge on top as a sealant.Original review: We bought these just over a year ago. We put one on the Punda Love Lock Statue in Curacao. We are going back in November and planned to put the second one by our first one. Unfortunately, while getting it prepped my 5 year old daughter decided to test out the lock, we attempted to pick the lock but nothing worked. We reached out to the seller and explained our situation and they very kindly offered to send us a replacement lock. We are very happy with this product and appreciate the kindness of the seller. We will plan to add an update with the condition of our lock that has been sitting outside for a year now in Curacao when we add the second one in November.

This lock ONLY LOCKS ONCE and doesn’t have a key. It is specifically made for locking onto a “love lock bridge” my husband and I locked ours onto the Eiserner Steg (iron bridge) in Frankfurt, Germany. I scratched our initials into the lock with a key, and it made for a cheap fun activity that symbolizes our love! Cheesy, but still sweet.The lock was great! Works exactly as it should, and looked pretty great! I have no complaints!
