People send them back because they think they don't fit. They do fit perfectly but the plastic locking tab needs to be bent out a little to make it have enough force to hold the battery in tightly, so it doesn't fall out. Just bend the tab outward away from the battery gently until you feel it suddenly resist, then bend it an eighth inch more. Put it in and it should hold it in tightly. If it doesn't then do it again and go a little farther. I bought these 9 years ago and now am replacing them and they are fantastic.

Works well but the fit is a little loose. I put a piece 1/4” shrink tubing in the side opposing the lock release . That was enough to hold the battery in place.

I’m a very unusual specialist at power systems off grid generators, electrical and all that I needed this product for a special project where I had two batteries that I need to connect to power out to a small inverter to run Internet Internet system appeared appear this product along with the next product I’m gonna have reviewed that I got an Amazon boat that exactly what they supposed to do and what I wanted them to do. I was very pleased to find out a company actually makes them because for me to make one would cost more than I could purchase purchase it for, an excellent Product

This battery did not fit my Garmin GPSMAP296. After installing properly, it does not lock in place but falls out.

This item does not fit. I place the battery in the slot and it will not lock in because it does not fit the 265c Garmin GPS.

Works but has a tendancy to pop out of the 496 case. I put a couple of strips of cardboard under the catch and is working.

It is not acceptable to sell a battery with such a poor fit. GPS units for boating must be reliable but that is impossible with a battery that pops out with normal movement.

So far, the peerformance has been the same as the original battery. Will follow up on longer term performance later.
