Originally, I gave this a very good review. After using it for an hour or so, the battery ruined my Garmin Nuvi 3590, over $300 GPS, and got so hot it almost melted it. It no longer operates as a GPS and keeps "calculating" the destination off and on. When I tried to return the item, the company gives you a label where you have to pay for shipping that is almost more than the battery itself. This is a scam. If you get a defective battery, you are out the cost of the battery and the GPS it ruins.

This was the proper battery for my Garmin. The old battery bit-the-dust and would not hold a reliable charge any longer. This battery was packaged well, fit perfectly, and restored the Garmin to its OEM functioning. Good price. Fast delivery. Reliable performance.

This matched the battery specs for my Garmin 765 exactly while other replacement batteries were different. I figured it was the safer choice. I took out two small screws and then pried apart the case with that piece of plastic that is sometimes in the handle of a gallon milk jug. The battery was attached with double-sided tape and was easy to pry out. The new battery was just as easy to install — one little plug and a couple of new pieces of double-sided tape.My GPS was completely dead, wouldn’t even turn on with a cord. I figured it was worth replacing the battery just to see if it would work again. After I closed the case up and charged the battery, my Garmin 765 worked just like before. It’s back and I’m still able to use the Lifetime Map Updates.

I wish they included a small piece of double sided tape to mount it with; the tape in there was difficult to transfer from the old battery. Also, there is a tiny block of rubber that needs to be transferred from the old battery. But I no longer have problems where it won't turn on!

Plugged it in to my Garmin Nuvi and suddenly I have a working GPS again! Easy to install and came fully charged. Works like when the unit was brand new.
