Your cart is empty.This is a six (6) foot roll of 3/4" Inch Flat Cotton Oil Lantern or Oil Lamp Wick. Your oil lamps and oil lanterns never had it so good! If you want to experience the best flame your oil lamp or oil lantern can produce, then these flat cotton wicks are the ones to use. Proper capillary action (the ability of your lamp oil to flow in narrow spaces ((up the wick)) without the assistance of, and in opposition to external forces like gravity) is a key ingredient in producing a bright light, a non-erratic flame, and a clean burn. These wicks are the best we've encountered and they are our highest quality flat cotton wick!

You can't screw up a wick too bad I suppose, but I was impressed with the weave of this product. Size was perfect for my hurricane lamp. Soaked it over night, and have enjoyed romantic mood lighting every night since. Purchase with confidence.

Stuff for oil lamps is hard to find locally, usually you can buy a whole lamp only. To find the wicks takes lots of phone calls and messing around trying to figure out who even has them. MUCH easier and faster to just order it here. It's a nice weight and will work perfectly. With the quantity offered, it will make several mason jar lamps for use when the power goes out. Better than electric or regular candles, and they throw enough light to actually see or read.

Winter is upon us which, for my neck of the woods, means power outages. I live in a rural area and high winds or ice can cause outages that can last anywhere from an hour to all night long. I do have battery powered emergency lights that I keep charged in my electrical outlets and a generator as well, but oil lamps do come in handy. Just keep fuel and wicks around.I had to make sure to get the right size wick and this was it. I like having the roll and being able to cut wicks to a desired length. I was careful not to purchase a wick that was to wide that wouldn't fit my lamps as I would be in a world of hurt during a power outage. This wick draws up the oil and burns fine in my oil lamps giving me light in an emergency – plus a tiny bit of warmth to boot. I should probably purchase more. Nothing like being prepared.

We recently bought two antique oil lamps but they came without wicks. These wicks worked perfectly. They burn clean and last long. This is a great wick for your oil lamps!

Quality is great. Just like the old wicks 50 years ago. (Finally finished off grandfathers stash. Had to replace.) Delighted to find a decent product. With more virulent storms and power outages the lamps get pressed into more frequent use. Old wicks don’t burn well!
