Good filter balls. Nice bag included for laundering.I switched from 100 pounds of sand to these a a few years ago. Best thing ever. If you're still using sand, it's time to switch.Would definitely recommend!

I have used these for several pool seasons in our 18' x 52" above ground pool and they are amazing. I love that end of the season cleanout of my sand filter barrel is extremely easy. No sand particles stuck in the strainers, no heavy barrel to carry somewhere to be dumped. At the end of the season, we drain the top 1/3 of the water from the pool, using the drain-off water to backflush my filter. After shutting down the pump, I simpy drain the sand barrel, remove the valve assembly and pull out the filter balls and place into the included wash bag and flush out any residual dirt. It takes one normal wash and dry cycle and these can be reused the next season. Even though it is a little more expensive, I replace the filter balls every season so I don't have to wash them. We have a 150 lb sand barrel and use 6 lbs. of filter balls, which is a lot easier on my back not having to lift heavy bags of sand and worry about it spilling everywhere and getting in places it shouldn't be. Once up and running for the summer, my pool water is crystal clear all year. We have only had one small algae outbreak in three years after a week of heavy rain storms which cleared up after a couple of days with just a single bag of shock. I have recommended these to several friends that have pools and they love how well they work compared to sand too. For the price, ease of pool maintenance, clean-up, and efficiency these are an amazing value. After several years of using these I will never use sand in a pool filter again.

I got these so I can interchange my filters balls when we open our pool if I need to. We have a sand filter and the sand was just too messy. Then, someone told me about these. We got some 2 years ago and I love them. We decided to get this set for this year. These balls are much easier to manage than sand. They came compressed for more compact shipping. So, you will need to let them sit out for a bit. But, these will replace 100lbs of sand. Just drop them in the filter and you are all set. If you run your filter like you are supposed to, you will have crystal clear water all season long. Then, at the end of the season when you are winterizing your pool, just remove the balls, throw them in the bag provided and toss them in the washer. You can even dry them on low heat. When I remove them from my filter, I have a laundry basket that I dump them in. I then, lean the basket against my deck rail and let the water drain out. That way, you are dripping water through your house. Don't panic when you see how small they are. Once they get wet, they will expand! My advice is to get rid of the messy sand and switch to these filter balls! You won;t be disappointed!

Competitively priced, similar to others out there. It’s too cold to set the pool up yet, so I haven’t tested them out in the filter, but hope they hold up well. Much less messy solution to sand.

The weather is too cold to put up the pool, but I opened these to check them out. I use these last year for the sand filter , but the filter wasn't full so I got some more. These look good. They should work well. They are a lot lighter than sand, they filter well, they don't create as much resistance to water flow. Also since they are lighter the sand filter is easier to move at least until you fill it with water. Enjoy!

I use filter balls in my hot tub so these are great to have!! They come vacuum packed so when opened the package will look a lot bigger. These are a great alternative to regular filters as regular filters can sometimes become clogged quickly resulting in an error code being thrown on the pump. These take care of that problem allowing the water to flow better while still filtering your water. And what’s even better is you can wash these and reuse them until they look unusable. They actually included a laundry bag for that purpose which is an extra bonus!! Stop spending money on expensive filters and use these instead!!

I have a pool we'll be setting up and these seem like a MUCH better idea to me and my back than sand for the filter! And super happy these can be used in aquarium filters too! These filter balls arrived vacuum sealed and in excellent condition. These are easy to add to your filter, and depending on the application, can definitely work better than sand. These filter balls clean themselves easily during the backflush process and help capture an incredible amount of debris from your water. These are all very well made from quality materials; even after extended use, these balls do not degrade, but seem to have an incredible durability that will help them last for years. Overall, these are priced well and far exceeded expectations.
