I love everything in clear materials be it plastic, acrylic or glass - much easier to see the contents whatever they are - so had to get this clear CD rack as soon as I saw it. I'm still adding to my CD collection so am constantly in shortage of racks to hold them. This one will hold 60 which is pretty good as small portable shelves go. Putting it together is actually pretty straightforward - the product description page has step by step graphics and you need to follow it by the book, no shortcuts. Only design aspect I don't quite understand is the screws/holding pins which stick out a bit, so cannot align flush with the side of a bookshelf or another same rack - I am considering ordering at least one more but would be nice if the they can be put against each other with no gaps in between.

This CD holder is great once it's assembled, but I spent about an hour of frustration with putting it together. The printed instructions that come with the pieces have fuzzy photos that are taken from a color photo that is clearer on the product page. For about 30 minutes, I tried to follow them, and the back and sides would fall apart and bounce on the floor whenever I tried to insert what seemed to be the too-large trays.The trick is in the angle of attack for attaching the sides to the back. I had been trying to start with an obtuse angle of both parts and swinging the side to 90 degrees to the back. Instead, you need to start with the side at an acute angle (less than 90) to the back, and swing the side up to 90 degrees. Then it will hold together, and the tray will fit fine.The fasteners are a unique and kind of cool design that fits into a slot and locks when turned.The top shelf can hold DVDs as well as CDs, and the other shelves can be fastened at a variety of heights. I don't know why some other reviews give this high marks, but I found this to be cheap and impractical, it uses cheap plastic nuts to attach all the shelves to the frame which is made of flimsy easy to scratch plastic, the plastic nuts were very hard to turn in some of the mounting holes and two of them broke when I assembled the rack, so that left me with only enough to mount two of the three shelves, now for the design the front has wrap around curves covering the edges of the front of the rack, which blocks you access to any disks on the right and left of the shelves, you have to remove disks in the center of the shelf to get to those on the edges of the shelf, not great!, there is no padding on the bottom of the shelf and mine was a bit bit wobbly, when sitting flat, this was also very over priced for what you get, you will find much better quality and options elsewhere.

As someone who still likes to buy physical CDs from time to time I have been overdue for a new CD rack. And while the description for this one says for CDs it's more of a versatile a tabletop shelf/display that could be used for dvds, books, figurines, etc. We were able to put it together fairly quickly, not really sure what the back pad is for, the screws are decorative but also kind of large. It's made of a lightweight acryclic/plastic that feels sturdy enough and not flimsy but probably about as thick as one of my CD cases, so probably easily scratched. Personally I hope they do an all clear option instead of the blue. Overall a nice shelf with plenty of space for my CD collection.

This is a very rad looking acrylic CD rack. The clear plastic gives it a bit of a 70s sci-fi look. It is of the promised dimensions and holds CD weight without issue. The directions could be clearer because this is a bit weird and difficult but it works out.
