For the price, these are a decent option for basic photography, astronomy, etc. for cameras, telescopes, whatever you've put on a tripod. They do really dampen some of the vibration of walking around or just ambient sort of vibrations in the area. For the price, I'm willing to say that's at least 4/5 in terms of performance. They also seem to be decently built, so I don't expect them to break or fall apart or anything. But it's really tough to use them on concrete or any other sort of smooth surface (and I'm talking about like a sidewalk, driveway, etc., so "smooth" here means not literally dirt or something else that is malleable). They slide like little plastic street hockey pucks. It's tough to keep them in place, especially if your tripod is bumped or adjusted slightly. The grip from this pad to the tripod is a bit better, owing entirely to the grip on the bottom of the tripod feet in my setup. But why not make these more grippy or something? This would be a much better value if it had that one key feature, otherwise it's "so-so" and not the best value. I'd say these are a great deal, as they are, for half the price. They'd be an even better deal at the current price, or a few bucks more, if they gripped properly on both sides. A fine product, overall, much better than having nothing between your tripod and the ground, but room for improvement.

Without cutting one of these pucks apart to actually see what is going on inside, they feel as if they provide freedom and dampening for lateral vibrations while providing stiffer or perhaps even rigid support in the vertical direction. The feet of your tripod rest in cups in the top of these pads and the bottom of the pads rest rigidly on your ground surface.Any rotational vibration energy of your tripod due to wind or walking nearby would normally (without these pads) be stored in the springiness and mass of your telescope tripod /mount/scope and therefore would take some extended time to dissipate.I think what these pads do is allow any torsional vibration in your mount to slightly vibrate the inner cups where the energy gets dissipated quickly in the soft silicone rubber rings surrounding them. The silicone is very soft and gel-like, almost like some low-durometer mold material that I have used.I don't feel any padding directly under the inner cups, only surrounding them, so I don't know if there is any suppression of vertical vibrations directly, such as might be induced by walking on a deck. However knowing that vertical ground vibrations can result in telescope/mount movements in all axes, I expect any dampening to be of benefit even if only for lateral movements.I cannot claim to see a direct improvement with these pads without performing a controlled test while monitoring my telescope's guiding parameters to see how they are degraded by walking around on my deck. And to do this correctly I would have to perform this test with the tripod both on the pads and then off on the same night under the same conditions. Since imaging time at night is precious I am unlikely to do this, so for now I will simply use them assuming that in concept they should do some good. One thing that I am certain of at this time is that they protect the deck surface from my tripod's metal feet while allowing me to slide them around safely during coarse polar alignment adjustment.

I got the Pocnsen 3 PCS Anti-Vibration Suppression Pads Diameter 7.6cm(3") Telescope Mounts to stabilize my tripod while shooting video.PackagingIt comes with 3x neatly packed mounts.ProductEach pad have 3 layers: inner (for placing a tripod foot), an orange rubber dampener and the housing.ApplicationPlace each pad, with the nubs facing down and the orange rubber up, on the ground then place the tripod feet on them. Adjust as needed.Final ThoughtsThese suppression pads worked great to stabilize my tripod. There is a noticeable difference in the output that I get. The only negative thing I can say about them is the refining process could be improved as you can see imperfections in the build. However, this is purely a cosmetic observation and it does not affect the performance of the item. Just remember, these work good but do not prevent shaking from direct interactions from the tripod itself. Overall, they did their job and I'm happy so I recommend this item.

Setting up my telescope on these pads has significantly reduced vibrations, even when there's a bit of wind or someone walks nearby. The other night, I was able to get some incredibly clear shots of the moon without any annoying shakes. These pads are also great for nature photography. I recently took them on a hike and set up my tripod on a wooden deck overlooking a beautiful valley. The pads kept my tripod stable, and I got some stunning landscape photos. The cushioning effect of the orange rubber strip is impressive, and it really helps in getting those sharp, detailed images. If you're into photography or astronomy, these tripod pads are a must-have for your gear!

helps to keep vibrations down.

Let me start off by saying I think my application isn't really what these could be good at. I think they're more intended to keep vibrations from the floor out of the tripod, rather than to help damp any vibrations coning from the tripod itself. Since I'm generally working with tripods directly on the ground or on a solid concrete slab, I don't really have that issue. They don't appear to do much, if anything to damp vibrations in the tripod itself, though.
