My kids love to climb trees but they are a little too short for most in our yard. They end up using unsafe things to stack to climb. I do not want to intervene all the time and this is the perfect solution. I love that it gives them more independence. Well made and sure to last a very long time.

These climbing stick aiders are nice for allowing you to get just a bit higher in the tree. This one does a good job getting you up to the first step comfortably. It does pinch in on your boot when putting your foot on the steps so you do need to be careful but the design allows for easy packing and keeping the weight down. I am not a big fan of the reflective markings but I don't think that will really affect deer movement. It's a great lightweight item to carry in your pack to allow you that extra couple feet higher in the tree.

The CRAFTJOY 2-Step Climbing Stick Aider did not include the metal hanger, as shown and implied by pictures and text on the seller's webpage.Seems very expensive for a couple of nylon straps.Without some sort of hanger to attach the straps, I struggle with how to mount it, and will be returned.

Compared to the litany of other aiders out there, we like that there is some structure to the steps which keeps them from collapsing while hanging. We like that the reflective strips are only on the top of the step which makes them less likely to startle game. The only downside is the attachment loops are perpendicular to the orientation the need to be in order to naturally go onto your stick steps. It still works fine, it just doesn't look as clean that way. There is also no included way to positively cinch them on so they won't fall off your steps. You will want two sections of hook and loop for that.

I got this to hang from a branch for my little one to climb the tree. She loves sitting up there but needs help getting up and down because of how high it is. I might need my husband to rig it better somehow because I need another branch to attach the other side to but there isn’t one close enough. And the one that is there is too short to put both sides on. But it seems very sturdy and a good idea to help her be able to climb up her self.

OK, I got this for a more robust step for my one-stick tree climbing setup for hunting. This looked like a good buy, and honestly is great for climbing, but it has 3 major issues when it comes to hunting deer.First the steps are a bright green that will stand out in a forest. Hunter Orange would have been a better choice instead of this neon green. Sure, a deer might miss the green when they're staring up at your spot (because they smell you), but that's the worst of it. The individual rungs have a very reflective material on them that will stand out like a sore thumb, especially to a deer in almost any light. This wouldn't be a problem if you could easily pull the aider up, but that leads to the third problem I see, the steps are too bulky. While this aider is light, sturdy & durable, the bulk does it in for me. I have a rope aider that easily folds into itself, basically disappearing while hiking in/out of the woods. This one would take up extra space that won't fold up easily onto the stick, basically making it too bulky, plus extra items to secure in the stick. If you just have sticks out on a tree that can stay out on private property & you plan on climbing them to a platform, you could hang your first stick high enough that this aider could be removed from tree to tree. But the reflective strip is still going to be an issue for deer season, but maybe less because it wouldn't be 20-40' in a tree & moving with a breeze. I was hopeful for this item, but it has some design issues.
