It’s for small trees

Cranked these down tight and they still twist. They hold their position as long as there is zero angular pressure. The second you try walking around the tree, they become absolutely worthless. Tiny surface area does not give your foot room to maneuver with purpose.

These are an awesome ring of steps if you change the buckle to a OCB. I changed the entire strap and all. But bought an extra buckle to use the factory strap as a backup.

The steps themselves are fine, the included cam buckle strap is junk. It won’t stay tight and is unusable. You can literally pull the webbing through the buckle. That said, if you plan to use these with a different strap, the steps themselves are fine. No moving parts to loosen or break.

Could only get tight enough to stay stable on hard smooth bark trees and even then had to watch how you stepped. Also seemed heavy. Needs a cam buckle strap.

Steps work great for saddle hunting. Wish it had more than 4 steps though.

you guys need to know. I bought a set and just used them this evening. They are terrible. You can’t tighten the strap enough and when you stand on them they turn sideways. And I cranked in them when tightening the strap. I’m never using them again. I wouldn’t give them away. It could cut the strap and you’re gonna fall.
