Definitely recommend this product, it removed heavy coil springs from 4x4 Fabtech dirt logic with ease.Applied Loctite Copper C5-A Anti Seize to threads to prevent galling.

I have a clamp style spring compressor, and I have had several sets of the hook and screw type compressors. The clamp style is really safe, but it's also big and can't fit everywhere. The Screw style ones make me nervous every time I use them. They really are an accident waiting to happen. This set is similar in operation to those bolt style ones, but with several important safety upgrades. First, you can securely clamp the top hook onto the spring, so even if the other hook somehow comes free, the tool will not be sent shooting off into the shop at high speed. Second, there is the supplied steel loop that connects the two compressors together, which prevents the compressors from sliding onto one side of the spring, a situation that can easily turn deadly, if not just annoying. The tool seems to be really well made, and the screws are all pre-lubed and easy to turn. I had no issues with using it, and am so happy to have found a safer alternative to the dangerous kind, and can still fit into tight spaces.

Ultra heavy duty. Very adjustable, compresses truck springs easily and didn't slip or fall off.
