Good idea for replacement when parts are okay. I got a bad set one good/ one bad. Had to order a replacement. Guess I have to go next door till it arrives. Check that the screw fits the bolt before removing anything from your toilet seat.I have installed before no problem, check the quality reviews

Very quick and easy to install. And that's speaking as a single mom who has not background in home maintenance or repair of any kind. The instructions are easy to understand, and installation took less than 5 minutes.Great quality, I prefer it over the cheap plastic things that come with the toilet seats which always strip and loosen. I get the feeling that these aren't going anywhere

Those washers are very important- so be sure to place them as displayed bc they fill the space that the former larger plastic bolt used/needed to keep the seat. From “wobbling.”

The listing clearly describes both the bolts and nuts as being stainless steel. The bolts I received were indeed stainless, but the nuts were zinc-plated.The installation location isn't one where you want to encounter galvanic corrosion, and I'll be returning the item.

Would rate these at 5+ stars. Bought a new seat and the bolts that came with it were plastic. Didn't even get them tight and they stripped - junk. Bought these and they absolutely worked great Easier to install because the nuts are longer to hang on to

I have always had issues using plastic nuts and bolts to keep the toilet seats secure. These metal nuts and bolts with rubber washers work much better.

When I saw that this product is specifically compatible with Kohler, which is my brand, I jumped on the chance to finally secure a loose toilet seat that would not stop shifting using the original screws. What I failed to do is look at the actual toilet seat. These screws are designed to pass through the top of the brace. My braces are not open at the top but are secured by a screw shaft that is inserted from the bottom. Also, the diameter of the original screw is different than these screws. So, I could not use these screws or the long bolts as intended. You may be wondering why a five star rating if I could not even use them as intended. What I did was use the provided gaskets to improvise a solution. I could not insert the thicker gasket from the top but used it on the bottom. The thinner gaskets (both rubber and metal) were used at the top. As the original screw shaft has no head, I had to resort to the original plastic wing nut to secure from the bottom. Still, even by employing just the provided gaskets the seat has never been more secure. If it works this well under these conditions, I can only assume that it will work exceptionally well if used as originally intended. Thus, I believe that a five star rating is justified.
