Very good to have a mallet, it's an often neglected tool in a home tool kit. Today I need to loosen my fence which is frozen solid at the base and I do not want to damage it: use a mallet.

This is a good value mallet set. The larger mallet is manufactured well. However, the smaller mallet head spins loosely on the handle and unable to tighten it at all with how it's designed.

I really like the feel of the weight of the DkOvn rubber mallet as it allows for a nice firm hit without a hard surface damaging impact. My old rubber mallet served a long time and this is a great replacement to help with fitting and aligning parts. The handle on the light weight hammer wasn't quite perfectly aligned on the shaft but is very comfortable and is exactly the light weight for setting plugs or making tedious fine adjustments that are so hard do to by finger force. These are going to be a big help whether I'm making cat trees, doors, or drawers.

There isn't much flair to these tools, but when you have a job that needs them, you don't need flair. That being said, the mallet comes in handy for some home repair projects without causing damage to what we're working on. The soft hammer is great for more delicate projects that still need some effort. They both worked for my projects and didn't break or show any signs that they would. The soft mallet's heads can unscrew so you can replace them if they ever get too worn out.

My husband wasn't too pleased with both the large and small mallets. The large rubber one has a small handle making it a little harder to swing. That handle is also rounded and not ergonomically shaped. The small mallet's handle is misaligned during manufacturing.They both still work but are not of quality. I won't recommend them.
