★ Features:
——We developed a non-slip design for the part that attaches to the drill rig, so that the drill jaws can firmly grip the extension while rotating at high speeds, further preventing work errors.
——The inside diameter of our forstner drill bit extension collet is 3/8 inch, so this extension will only fit forstner drill bits with 3/8 inch or smaller shanks, please check the size to see if it will fit your drill bit before purchasing.
——Please note to tighten the screw before use to prevent the drill bit from slipping and falling off when rotating at high speed.
——Our extension poles are built with rugged, high carbon steel for structural stability, with precision ground and polished surfaces.
——The shanks are 3/8" in diameter and will fit most drills. Please note that Forstner drill bits should be larger than 0.8" in diameter to prevent the protruding part of the set screw from scratching the hole wall when drilling.

OK, this looks perfectly fine. But something is off. I’ll have to get out my calipers. I have a Forstner bit which states that it has a 9 mm shank. The image here on Amazon shows it has size 0.354 inches. Meanwhile, this extension states that it accommodates up to 3/8 inch, which would be 0.375. Yet my Forstner bit doesn’t fit. This is the second mandrel for which this has happened. I’ll get measurements and report back on what’s off.

I tried my Freud bits which are very good quality, none of them fit either extension. Machining of hole is very poor with multiple visible burs.

Well machined solid product. Work well separately or combined to extend forstner bits into hardwood blank for turning or carving vase shape. Very good value.

Honestly, I was AMAZED at the quality. These are machined down to 1/2 of one one/thousanths of an inch! They work great.

Forstner bits seat solid. set screws hold as they should. no complaints.HEY Fellow wood turners. get the 4.48" as it will bridge the gap between a 6 inch extention and the forstner bit itself.
