This series hose fitting connector has a male end for connecting to threaded pipe conforming to National Pipe Thread (NPT) standards.
WIDELY USED
Brass can be connected to copper, brass, plastic, aluminum, and welded steel, and the relative softness of brass threading, when compared to other metals, allows for a tight seal. This connector has a temperature range from -53 ~ 121°C (-65 ~ 250°F).
SOLID
The hose barb fittings are made of brass, which is considered more durable for heavy-duty use. It has greater strength than cast brass.
EASY TO INSTALL
Easy to use and install. It is widely used to connect tubes or pipes.

hose to 1/4 " quick disconnect, not easy to figure out the thread.there is 1/4" NPT and 1/4" brass thread--- two different animals.

These are hard for me to find locally. Three big box stores were sold out so I came to Amazon and got them right away. Appear to be nice quality and threaded perfectly into the regulator I am using for my generator
