Nothing to compare to - never used before. However, this is easy to apply, seals great and stays pliable. Applied directly to metal and over primer - both sealed. Wear gloves as it could be messy.

Cleaning and painting the understide of my classic 73 mustang. I needed some seam sealer for a few areas and picked this up. Worked perfectly. This is a garage queen now, so not as exposed to the elements but seems like it will be fine over time.

This seam sealer works well. I like that I can use a regular caulking gun to apply it and don't need any other special tools. It comes in a 2 pack with a pair of nitrile gloves. It is easy to apply, goes on smoothly. It seals well and remains flexible. I like that is is paintable too. I used some of it for my floor pans and it seemed to seal well. Make sure to wait at least 24 hours to allow it to fully cure.

Used this with an electric caulking gun to seal the seams on a Jeep body. Applied smoothly with no excess running. Once cured was ready to be primed over just the way it should be.

Used where I'd been using marine sealant before, but didn't require the same kind of immersion resistance. Was a bit easier to apply and less messy. Created a good seal and laid down a good bead. No complaints other than it's a bit pricey.

I like that the sealant comes with some disposable gloves - good idea to wear some.I ordered "[2-Pack] Black Polyurethane Seam Sealer Automotive Compound Kit - Durable & Flexible..." to adhere some rubber feet to cinder blocks as cusions for resting upon the painted steel deck of my lawn aerator. To use the sealant, 1) Remove the metal pull-tab from the bottom of the tube (there is a little wooden ball which is said to absorb moisture. 2) Puncture the metal seal at the top of the tube with a small screwdriver or something similar. 3) Screw on the applicator nozzle. 4) Insert the tube into the caulk gun and apply. To close the tube when finished, I soon inserted a medium-sized nail into the small hole in the end of the applicator tip/nozzle.The sealant is fairly thick to come out the small opening in the nozzle, but of course you can slice an angled cut for a larger opening if you want. The sealant is low odor and not bad to work with at all.My results: I was disappointed that the rubber feet separated easily from the cured polyurethane sealant. To be fair, this product is promoted as a "sealant" and not an "adhesive" - but in my experience, a good sealant is also an adhesive. Also, the instructions emphasize that sealed surfaces are to be roughed up with sandpaper or such. In my case, the sealant stuck wonderfully to the concrete surface of the cinder blocks and looks like it will do so for a long time.Over all, I think it is a good product for many uses, but I don't recommend it for smooth soft rubber (note: the rubber I used was from swimming pool cleaner tires, which is a very soft rubber).I will update this review if I have any new insights.

I used one tube so far on floor patches on my 55 Chevy. The "cured" product is rubbery (flexible) yet firm. I covered a lot of seam with just the one tube. It applies easily using a standard caulk gun. It sticks to painted and unpainted metal/welds.I will buy this again.I highly recommend this product.
