Your cart is empty.This brush is designed specifically for cleaning carboys (water jugs). Works equally well on 3, 5, and 6 gallon sizes. This brush has the maximum amount of bristles that will fit into these particular glass bottle openings. Its L-shape makes cleaning under the shoulders possible. This brush is also well suited for cleaning open fermentation vessels as well. Its bushy bristle end makes cleaning the bottom corners of these vessels easier. Total length is 26".

I used this to clean a plastic 5 gallon water container. When I went to use it a second time, it was covered in rust. I thought maybe I could still use it for the intended purpose but still got rust all over my hands (from the handle), etc. I don't recommend it.

This is a great cleaner for my container, however, it can be difficult to remove from my container, however, due to my container shape, I had some difficulty removing it. I ended up having to use a spoon to help encourage the end to come out.

I’d had to throw out several batches of mead after they went bad for some reason. Everything else (recipe, yeast, sanitization, etc) seemed fine so I figured I should get something to better clean the carboys with, since I probably wasn’t getting the part just under the neck clean enough and it was starting to contaminate my batches. I don’t know why I didn’t buy this a long time ago, it reaches the hard to clean spots easily and I’m able to really scrub areas that I usually have to use a balled up paper towel, pipe cleaners, chopsticks, and anything else I can find and just hope it’s getting cleaned enough. I’m so much more confident in how clean my fermenters are now, and it’s a much faster process. Just buy it, it’s worth it.
