Installation Guide for Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp

  1. Insert Accessory into Hitch Receiver: Slide your 2-inch hitch accessory (bike rack, cargo carrier, etc.) into the receiver, aligning the pin holes.
  2. Position the Anti-Rattle Clamp: Wrap the Anti-Rattle Clamp around the hitch receiver and accessory’s hitch tube.
  3. Tighten the Bolts: Hand-tighten them, then use a wrench to tighten them securely. Please make sure the clamp is snug but not overtightened.
  4. Secure the Hitch Pin: Insert a hitch pin through the aligned pin holes and secure it with a clip.
  5. Test for Stability: Check for movement by gently shaking the accessory. If it’s stable and quiet, installation is complete.

Maintenance Tips:

  • Periodically check the anti-rattle clamp for tightness, especially after long trips or heavy use.

Just got done comparing this anti-rattle hitch device against the HF item. This unit is even more secure to prevent the hitch from rattling around inside the receiver tube. I highly recommend it !!! When towing a heavy trailer, it pulls hard and rattles the hitch dependent on trailer loading and stopping conditions. This unit keeps the hitch secure.
