Zero issues so far (4 months). It is a bit slow with ceramic filter but with its capacity it is easy to refill in the evening and top top couple times a day. Must take care to not overfill it but it is easy to lift to part and check the level.

Read the reviews, The tap leaks continuously, it's a common issue. It sucks having to babysit and clean up after this thing .The filters are completely plugged in 3 weeks of use, using city water. The top seals with the bottom when you fill it because of the weight of the water so no air can get in so, when you open the tap to fill your glass , nothing comes out. I've had to lift the top section while half full (heavy/awkward) while holding my glass under the tap to fill it, then try to close the tap, put top section back down and hold my full/ over filled glass of water all at the same time, regularly. It's messy and it sucks!. I had much higher expectations of quality, especially considering its price!!

I got the small 1 1/2 gal which fits nicely on a wood planter stand I bought separately. My husband drinks a lot of water so in hindsight I wished I had got the mid sized one. I got the ceramic filters because I didn't want to deal with priming. They took a few hours to filter which I heard was a good sign they are doing a good job of filtering out all the chlorine and who knows what out of our city water. I love the quality of the stainless steel it's very sturdy and if people are having issues with residue on the bottom they need to clean their filters off occasionally and check the bottom tank to make sure there is no weird residue.

It’s smaller than I thought it’d be but it works. We set it up. I’d prefer it didn’t sit flat on the counter but we have put it away for emergencies. Likely take it to the lake in the summer. Definitely appreciate the price.

Worked for a couple of months; now the water doesn’t percolate through the filters into the lower container. Didn’t expect it to fail so soon.. Do NOT recommend!

This was a great purchase, but let me start with a tip for new buyers (like me) who have not used one of these gravity systems before. You'll want to rinse the ceramic filters first (I did) and prime them by forcing water through it backwards (I didn't). This was a difficult thing to do, since I didn't have any rubber hoses or attachments I could use to prime the filters. I suppose I could have installed them upside down first and then put some water through it.So, I didn't prime them, and I ended up with an air pocket in the filter. This means it was taking hours and hours to filter through.Do not panic though, I surmised (and I was proven right) that if I just left it alone, it would work itself out. After the 2nd run through, it's now filtering as expected. The instructions were a bit vague about the silicone washers when mounting the spicket. After a little experimentation, I decided to place 1 silicone washer on the inside, and one on the outside. This appears to work, because I have no leaks. The seller proactively reached out to me to ask if I needed any assistance or had any questions. By that time, I didn't. It's working fine, but it was nice that they asked.Ok, but how good is it?The water in my area is acceptable, but it does have a slight chlorine smell. Nothing really bad (not like Florida water). After running this through the filter, it has no smell at all. It tastes good, and I use it to fill my Keurig machine (I love that machine). The overall build is not cheap, it's a good sturdy device. It's completely uncomplicated. The price was acceptable. I would recommend this to a friend.

I had been looking at gravity fed water filters recently as an alternative to attempting to store hundreds of gallons of emergency water. Then came Prime’s lightning sale. I couldn’t pass up such a sublime deal. It arrived almost before I could warn my wife about it. Oops.Unboxing was a breeze. The filter was very well packed and heavy duty. Though I purchased the basic model, I was impressed by everything. Namely: the gauge of the stainless steel upper and lower bodies was much beefier than expected; the rubberized base ring is chonky and appears as if it will last many years; the stainless steel spigot feels good to operate as it feels solid and dependable; and the filters were beautiful. No joke. They look exceptional in their quality. Though the 2.25g unit only comes with two filters, the unit has four holes for filters. I’m planning on just picking up two more filters to extend the unit’s longevity between filter replacements. As it stands, it makes great tasting water. Waaaaay better than bottled mountain spring water. I set it on the edge of our sink and just used the spout to fill the top. It took about ten minutes to filter enough water to flow freely from the spigot. I was blown away by how refreshingly crisp the water tasted. Ive been wasting so much money on bottled water and expending effort to recycle, when in truth I could have bought one of these years ago!Mine cost me $107 plus tax with their lightning deal. My two regrets are not getting the stand as well as the spigot that shows you how full the reservoir is, but the deal didn’t make include those items at the lowest tier. Knowing what I now know, I would have paid the extra $20-$30 dollars are done it right. I fully recommend this product and find it to be elegant, super inexpensive if you consider the volume of water that it will treat before new filters are needed, and it’s collapsible design for taking it on outings with the family. It is well built and should last for generations.

We purchased this after the train derailment in Ohio because we were just outside of the zone they were saying wasn't safe. Since it felt like we should be extra careful, and we couldn't afford the name brand one, we got this one. The water tastes great and seems to be filtering well. A few cons are that it took us two tries to get it together and we had the spout open the first time so water leaked out. The other negative is that the bottom holds less than the top so if you fill the top too much, instead of stopping, it starts to leak out of the middle where the connect. We also had it knocked over twice because of kids/pets and it being too low to the ground so we moved it higher and haven't had any issues since. I think it was a really great buy for the money!
