Good quality filter sets for the price. Very easy to install.

Can't go wrong with APEC quality filters for RO. Fits for most RO three main filter systemsl. I sometimes customize the sediment filter to something finer, or swap out one of the carbon filters with a higher micron filtering carbon filter, but even if you dont, this combination works great and will make great tasting water.

This is the third year I have gotten these. I have a APEC water system in my home as I don't like drinking chemicals and I use water to water plants and they don't like the chemical either. These filters are easy to change. I am 69 and I can change them. They work well and love that my water taste good and it is good for what I grow.

They are the correct filters for my APEC system under my kitchen sink. My wife swears it makes the water taste better, but I can't tell much of a difference. When I change them, they aren't super dirty, as we have a pre-filter as our first line of defense. That gets a little rust-colored over time, but these always look clean - I just changed them every so often because I feel like I should. They fit fine, seem to work as designed, and I don't have any complaints.

It is important to change filters in a timely manner.Besides evident water quality issues … not changing them … might negatively affect water pressure.Purchasing them in a package … allows you to save a bit … and change them all at once.

We formally purchased another line of filters for a different under-sink RO system and would spend $200 every 3 months and it required us shutting down our system and purging it for 24 hours. This system can be used within 15 minutes of installing/replacing filters. The water quality is even better. Although the filters do create waste once you dispose, it isn't in comparison to the hundreds of plastic bottles that create even more waste and hazards. We live in a town where water filtration is subpar and very hard. The drinks you make with our water vs. this filter can't compare in clarity alone. I only gave it 4 stars for installation due to the fact that most under-sink units aren't easily accessible and require some maneuvering on floor level, but overall straightforward. We date and mark each filter with the corresponding order of installation to ensure we properly install them and change them out timely. In the pictures you will see a glass of tea, with the same tea concentration, with the same steeping times, same brand. The difference is one on the left is from the tap source no filtration and the one on the right is filtered with APEC. The smell alone was a stark contrast before the clarity and taste was addressed. We used a flashlight to show the murkiness of the one on the left (a) vs. the one on the right (B) in two of the pictures. Just an overall great investment.

These are legitimate APEC filters, there is an original shipping label on the box from APEC to Amazon. All filters came factory sealed. One major issue, one of the carbon filters came cracked. Its very hard to tell but if you wiggle them gently from end to end it should feel like a solid single piece. Judging by the movement inside the filter i could tell the carbon block was cracked- making the filter useless. This happened probably due to insufficient packaging. 1 star off due to this. APEC please put more effort into your packaging. Note, the second set i received had plastic mesh around the filters, perhaps protection against cracking.Another issue, APEC does not have the correct procedure for installing listed on the instructions. They state to change filters and run system for a few mins- this is not ideal. Problem is the carbon filters have a lot of sediment when fresh and they need to be "bled" or run for a bit to clear out excess carbon dust. APEC's method sends the filter dust directly into the RO membrane which will significantly shorten its life. What you should be doing is the following:1) With the tank, tap, and water supply closed, install all 3 replacement filters making sure all 3 gaskets per filter are clean (2 per filter, 1 on each filter housing). Clean out housings if needed. Rinse well. Install and close housings as per APEC instructions.2) Remove the tube from the 3 stage filter housing OUT (Press in fitting end and pull tube out). Take a piece of 1/4" or similar tubing and install into this port, this will be the drain for the filter flush. Make sure its going into a bucket or sink. Regular polypropylene water tubing, easy to find at hardware store.3) Open water supply valve to filter system. Water will gurgle and surge, lots of black water will come out. This is the excess dust we need to flush. Yes its a lot and its very dark. Run until clear, usually a min or two.4) Shut off water supply to water system and reconnect original supply tube. Turn on water supply and tank. You're good to go and you saved your RO membrane all that nasty black filter clogging carbon. This is the best way to do a filter change, no idea why APEC tells you to send the flush water directly into the RO membrane, perhaps it generates more sales.

This RO system is well-designed and the water tastes fantastic. It was installed by my plumber in about 90 minutes. The replacement filters are reasonably priced and readily available. I like that I only need to change the 3 base filters once per year and the other two filters (membrane and filter 5) every 3-5 years. The faucet works well, no leaks anywhere and the water pressure out of the RO faucet is strong enough to fill up an 8 oz glass in about 5 seconds. Overall, I am very happy with APEC Water Systems. Also, I might mention, I called the company and I actually spoke to a real person (not a computer) who told me all about the replacement filters. Very helpful customer support. Highly recommend APEC!

2nd UPDATE: I had lowered the number of stars because we were getting a lot of mineral build-up that we didn't get with the original set, but to be fair, the product doesn't claim to remove minerals. I know these filters are not designed to specifically filter out minerals, however, the first set we had that came with unit did do a much better job than these so I have nothing else to compare these to. I will say that after a few months, they do seem to be filtering out more hard mineral, probably because they are getting full, and honestly, that's fine with me because I clean my electric kettle less often. That said, the water still tastes GREAT! The old and new filters have always improved the taste of our water 1000%. Hard water can taste very nasty. Plus, the APEC people recently contacted me and have sent another set of filters just because they are nice people and want me to be happy with their products. I still don't know why the first set filtered minerals well even though it wasn't supposed to. But I'm thrilled with the APEC water filter at our kitchen sink. We drink this water and I often use it for cooking, too, just to minimize the harmful garbage normally found in tap water. Thanks, APEC!Original Review: Only four stars because even weeks after changing filters, we are finding a huge amount of mineral sediment in our electric kettle. We have hard water and we know not to expect any of our filters to completely get rid of mineral build-up. While these filters do improve the water taste considerably, the original filters included with the unit did a much better job at filtering minerals. Yes, we still had mineral build-up but not to the point of having to clean the kettle twice a week with vinegar. We only used to clean it once a month. I don't know why they are not as good as the previous set.
