I’m impressed with the build quality of this winch—it feels very sturdy and heavy. Despite the packaging looking completely destroyed upon arrival, the winch itself was undamaged, which speaks to its durability. The stop/limit switch is well-designed and works as expected.However, I do have some concerns, particularly with the marketing. The motor’s load capacity without additional pulleys is rated at 250 kg (550 lbs), but it’s advertised as an 1100 lb lift—a figure that only applies when using a pulley or snatch block. While the capability is there, the advertising feels a bit misleading. Similarly, the claim that a double snatch block allows for a 2200 lb lift is true, but only if all other components can safely handle that load. Clearer and more honest marketing would have been appreciated.Another issue is the controller cable. It’s extremely short, measuring only a few feet long. Why design it this way? A longer cable would make operation far more convenient.Overall, it’s a solidly built winch with good functionality, but the marketing and some design choices could use improvement.
