Needed a handrail for a single step up, in anticipation of growing old(er) when a handhold will be needed - the time to install such a thing is before you need it! My space was not quite a foot wide but it'd be an angled install, was so happy to even FIND one just a foot long. Chose this for the clean, modern line that fit with the rest of the house. Install was easy, only difficult part was drilling the holes in the brick and masonry. If I were designing this, I'd make the holes spaced such that you'd only have to drill into masonry, the common spacing of brick construction, but I still made it work. You'll need a good masonry bit and a power drill. After that, tapping the anchors into place and screwing the thing down was a piece of cake. Like that stout screws were provided, beefy, not basic.

Exactly what I hoped it would be. We just needed a small rail for a short steep set of stairs and this did the trick and looks great and feels great! You can never tell from a picture how rugged a rail like this will be, but we are very happy with it.

We installed on side of house (into the siding) to the right of 4 steps going down. Easy installation and is very secure in our situation. Looks good and is wearing well. Would buy again.

Shipping was poor - the first one was lost and I needed it for the guests coming up for Labor Day. But I did receive the second one, though it was after my guests had left. Oh well. I'll have it for next time.I needed something decent looking for the single step down to my great room. It's not permanent, but as some folks are getting older I wanted a handrail there, and I didn't want it to look out of place. I sprayed the black standard finish silver to match the stair railings on the main staircase, but the black finish was a good quality.Overall a good purchase. Just what I wanted and it was easy to install.

This short railing turned out to be a very high quality support bar. Very well made & finished. Came with just the right mounting material too; sometimes the mounting material shipped with such products is sub-standard & so one has to take a trip to the hardware store to find the right material. With what they send you it is possible to mount in both drywall & wood (in my case I had two mounts holes in each). Highly recommended!

I like these because they are sturdy, easy to grip, functional, rust resistant, looks great. All a great value for the money. As a senior I required a sure way of safely going into the backyard. These are perfect. I can go up and down my wood steps without worrying about falling.

Item arrived very well packaged and with all hardware. The welding is very strong. We installed it immediately, easily. My partner (who didn’t want one) now wants a second one.
