It was so nice to be able to buy the exact screw eye I needed, in the right size, and made so well. I needed this for a specific application and was going to need a dozen. The local "big box" hardware store wanted this much for a pair which were acceptable, but not the exact dimensions I needed. So I got ten times more for the same price. Got to love it.

The finish of the SS Eye Screw is very good, the cut of the Threads is smooth, so it cuts nicely as it is screwed into wood. I would say that the threads are more fine in pitch (more threads per inch, & less depth in the thread itself) than say a "Wood Screw or LAG".I am going to make a guess here, so take it as a guess, but I think if this Eye screw were screwed into a piece if wood (Pine 4x4) with a 1/16 pilot hole, and another Eye screw with a more "Wood Screw/LAG like" thread (deeper Thread, Fewer threads per inch) then take a pull gauge and Pull Straight Out to test the holding strength of the threads. My guess here is that the deeper thread pitch of the Wood Screw/LAG would hold better by some double digit percentage.Now that I am retired, I don't have access to the Pull Gauge to run this test, so I can't say for sure.

I haven't tested the metal, but I have over loaded them and they held up!Threads and workman ship all seem good.Decently priced for what they are and even better if they are truly stainless.Overall 4.5 stars!

What is in the bag: five (5) M6 x 3-1/4" heavy-duty 18-8 304 stainless steel self-tapping eye bolts.First impressions: Overall good quality. The screws are made of good quality 304 stainless steel with low magnetism and have a highly polished finish. The threads are clean of defects. They are handy for a lot of applications outdoors and indoors where finish and anti-corrosion are considered factors. They are not safe working load limit (SWL) rated.I am evaluating this product as part of the Amazon Vine program so I am limited to a 30-day window to submit a review.
