Note: This review is for the "100Pack Eye Lag Wood Screw for Drop Ceiling with Eye Lag Driver Zinc Plated Carbon Steel Eye Lag Screws for Use with Attaching Hanger Wire to Ceiling Joists Eye Bolts Screw100Pack Eye Lag Wood Screw for Drop Ceiling with Eye Lag Driver Zinc Plated Carbon Steel Eye Lag Screws for Use with Attaching Hanger Wire to Ceiling Joists Eye Bolts Screw" which doesn't appear to be an option at the moment. These are pretty cut and dry on what they are. Need an eye hook in some wood? Here ya go!So the good:* The included chuck driver is really appreciated because it makes it so much easier to screw these in.* The aforementioned chuck driver works as a handy stop about 1" from the end.* Consistent craftsmanship across the ~20 I looked at.The bad:* If you're not careful, you can scream right past the 1" point since there's nothing stopping the screws (unlike the ones that have the ring on the screw).* If you lose that driver, it's going to be a pain to screw these in, so don't lose it!* It'd be nice if the driver was magnetic, but it's not a deal breaker, as it's a fairly tight fit.The unknown:* I haven't tested their shear strength yet if you're prone to going full strength with an impact driver.* I used them indoors, so no waterfastness testing

I recently recived the 100-pack eye lag screws, which came with an eye lag driver, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. These screws, made of zinc-plated carbon steel, have proven to be a reliable solution for attaching hanger wire to ceiling joists.First off, the quality of these eye lag screws is commendable. They are sturdy and robust, showing no signs of wear or bending even when driven into solid wood. The zinc plating offers a nice level of corrosion resistance, ensuring that they hold up well over time, especially in environments where moisture might be a concern. The included eye lag driver is a thoughtful addition to the package. It makes installation incredibly easy and efficient, allowing for a secure fit without the hassle of using multiple tools. This feature is particularly useful for DIY projects where speed and simplicity are key.Performance-wise, these screws have met all my expectations. They hold the hanger wires firmly in place, providing excellent support for my drop ceiling setup. I appreciate the versatility of using these screws for various applications beyond just ceilings, such as in woodworking and other construction projects.Overall, I would highly recommend the 100-pack eye lag screws for anyone in need of a quality fastening solution. They are a good quality piece of hardware that performs as they should, making them a valuable addition to any toolbox. Whether you're a seasoned contractor or a DIY enthusiast, these screws will serve you well in your projects.

These eye lag screws are a decent value for basic drop ceiling installations, offering a large quantity for the price. The included driver is helpful, but some screws may not be the sharpest, potentially making installation a bit more difficult. Overall, suitable for simple projects but perhaps not for heavy-duty or professional use.

I have some bird feeders for the birds hanging off the railing of my deck on a metal arm, angled up at about 45 degrees. I attract all sorts of birds to the bird feeders but unfortunately they like to perch themselves on the railing as they wait for their turn. Then of course they do their business. Bigger birds leave an especially unpleasant mess. I was trying to think of a way to keep them off that railing and have them wait in the trees instead which are nearby. I came across an idea online to string fishing line a couple inches above the railing. The fishing line is nearly invisible to us but the birds can see it. It doesn't harm them, and makes it difficult to perch themselves on the railing. When I screw these into the deck railing and string my fishing line I can put it through the hole, wrap it around to tighten it up and keep going to the next one. It's not easy to see and has highly reduced the number of birds that sit there, and therefore all but eliminated the mess. I think it's the perfect solution and and they work well for me.

There is nothing really special about these eye lag screws. They are well manufactured and will perform the job that they were intended to without issue. While there are many used for these screws, I bought them for their originally intended use of supporting a suspended ceiling in my basement. The drive bit works well but would be better is it were magnetic.I am pleased with this purchase and can recommend this product.
