Great ladder. I had some questions and Roy was excellent and helped answer them.

Does not feel safe. I probably won't use it.

This telescoping design allows its extension from a compact 38-inch size all the way up to a full 18 feet, it can fit right in the trunk of my car. The adjustable stabilizer feet and built-in wheels also make it very easy to maneuver and set up, even on uneven surfaces. The ladder feels well-built. The aluminum construction keeps it lightweight yet durable.I can set it up as a traditional A-frame ladder, or extend it out straight for tasks that require more reach. The wide, slip-resistant steps provide a stable and secure platform.

My husband is a contractor, and very picky about his tools. I bought this ladder and I thought it would be fine for me, but he weighs 300 pounds and has to climb a ladder everyday. What I found was that it did exactly what I wanted it to do: stay out of the way, and allow me to pick limes off our tree in the front yard. When my husband saw the ladder in it's compact state, he asked what it was. I showed him how it telescopes, and how tall it gets. He climbed the ladder and had some comments: He said it was very sturdy and the steps were very tall. He was also thrilled with how compact it was when stowed. For my part, you should know that it is very heavy, but it has 2 very convenient wheels, that makes it easy to move around.Raising and lowering is simple, but follow the caution signs on the instructions so you don't get any pinched fingers when lowering it. The ladder stores easily in any of the cargo bays and takes up very little room.

We moved into a new home with very high ceilings and I needed something to get up to the smoke detector. This ladder is very heavy, but does have wheels to roll it to where you need it. It's easy to expand and the contract back for storage. The levers seem solid and durable. The rungs are very thin, and spaced quite a ways apart so you have to take large steps to get up or down them. That is the main reason I did not give this 5 stars. If it had somewhat deeper steps and they were slightly closer together it would be perfect. While it is heavy, it doesn't feel particularly solid as it expands and gets taller, but even though I'm a heavy guy (275 lbs) it held up well as I had to go very high on it. I've only used it as an A-frame but it evidently can be configured in other ways if needed. It got the job done, although I still have no idea why someone would put a smoke detector at the highest point in the home in an entryway.

We needed a tall ladder to reach things around the house and this seemed like a great option due to its small storage footprint. I had to fix a vent on the 2nd story of the house and fully extended this. The scary part is when you are trying to retract the sections because if you are not careful it would be very easy to smash your fingers.

Overall, this ladder has been excellent so far. I used to carry around a much heavier, larger ladder for work in my car, but that meant sacrificing the entire rear seat and trunk practically. This has changed that! I can fit this ladder in my 2004 Toyota Prius no problem without folding the seats down, and still fit 4 passengers. After a few times, the locking mechanism became fairly easy to use, and although I was very skeptical at first, I've come to trust it and it's never given me any issues so far. This ladder folds up tiny, but it's taller than my previous foldable ladder I was carrying around when fully extended!
